Blagdon Guardian Pond Tonic Salt, for Fish Health, Water Quality, General Tonic, pH Buffer, 9.08kg, treats 9,092 litres

I can recommend this product as I have used it before. One of my fish was displaying swimbladder problems so I added Pond Guardian Tonic Salt to the pond and left it in for a week before diluting it. The fish appears to have recovered and is swimming around quite happily with no issues.

Unsure about how to use this product, it says on the pack that to add gradually over 3-4 days and this level of salt should only be maintained for a maximum of two weeks, beyond two weeks it can cause plant damage. So does this mean I need to empty the pond and put clean water in so it doesn’t kill my plants? 2 fish dead this morning after putting only a quarter of the pack in, the pond is 2,500 litres. Not happy at all

Good for fish health, easy to use

Very expensive for what is basically a bag of salt but it works. My fish were looking very sluggish and are now much more perky. Moreover, one had looked on its last legs, rolling over and swimming vertically, now it seems completely cured and is happily splashing around with the others.
