Klorane Blond Highlights Sun Lightening Spray 125ml

Not too keen on the smell & quite strong. Seemed to lighten hair ever so slightly & used almost all of it to get a reaction

I actually quite liked the smell. It’s nowhere near as pungent as people suggest. It actually works too.

If you are expecting full on platinum highlights you'll be disappointed. I have medium blonde hair and fairly subtle, growing out highlights. It does brighten the hair, and it brings out any natural highlights your hair may have. The only downside is the smell. I can't quite place it. Bathroom cleaner? Air freshener? Laundry detergent? It hangs about, and reactivates if your hair gets wet.

Couldn’t see any difference with repeated use every day and my hair started to feel a bit dry and damaged. Not sure if it’s from that, but the texture of my hair didn’t feel great after using it. Didn’t get much natural sun though after putting it in to try get results, more with a hairdryer. This product is meant to work with heat or sun. I have fine, naturally blonde highlighted hair, was hoping to help with my roots during lock down!

The product came quickly and was exactly as described. To be honest though I can’t see any difference. My hair is naturally dark blonde /mouse and I wanted to lighten it up to match my highlights which are white. I used this about 5 days ago and my roots still look dark blonde, I can’t see any difference. This isn’t the fault of the supplier but I don’t think I should have bothered as I genuinely can’t see any difference at all... maybe it takes time who knows.

Really persistent and unpleasant smell. Repeated use seemed to have little impact. Not worth buying.

Smells great. It lightens the hair slightly if you spray and stay under sun. You will need to balance out the brassy tone if you don’t like it though. The effect it subtle and I already have natural dark blonde hair. It probably will take the whole bottle to see some noticeable difference.

I honestly don't get the complaints about the smell. It's not a strong smell at all. It just smells clean! Like fabric softener maybe. But it's soooo subtle. You can barely smell it. It doesn't leave hair feeling greasy and I can definitely see a change in colour after a week of consistency. I'm very very glad I didn't listen to the people annoyed by the smell.

I just got the Klorane Sun Lightening Spray and I decided to try it out right away! It sprays more as a spray and not a mist, but honestly it doesn't bother me. After I finished spraying it all over my head, on my dry hair, I combed it in evenly. I would like to address all of the negative reviews in regard to how it smells (because those reviews made me hesitate to buy it at first)... it doesn't smell bad at all! If anything I would call it a clean smell, not overpowering or too flowery. It's subtile and it smells good. The reason it smells so good is most likely is because the mixture of ingredients it totally natural and so there are no harsh chemical smells the Sun Lightening Spray needs to mask. Another positive is that once I brushed my hair, my hair texture felt totally normal and smooth. My hair was not crunchy at all (like when I've put lemon in it). For those of you deciding between this product and "John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray" I can tell you from experience choose this 100%. I used the John Frieda spray off and on for a few years and my hair has never seen so much damage. Hair salon stylists always commented on was how stripped my hair was of protein, and how dry my hair was. I have fine (natural) strawberry blonde hair, it has always been long and it has always been soft, until I used John Frieda's Lightening Spray. Finding a lightening spray that doesn't contain Hydrogen Peroxide has been an amazing find!!! I cannot wait to continue using Klorane Sun Lightening Spray and I'll be sure to post a before and after picture later on!
