Does this work with other toaster brands?

I bought this to use with my KitchenAid Pro Line toaster, since the KitchenAid sandwich cage accessory has been discontinued, and it fits just fine. The part that fits into the toaster slot is 4-7/8 in. long, 5 in. deep and 1-1/8 in. wide. The original KitchenAid product is slightly deeper -- about 5-1/2 in. -- so it fit just a little bit better, but this one works. I use it for toasting crumbly breakfast breads and smaller objects such as crumpets. I've never tried making a sandwich with it.

How wide is the part that goes in the toaster? Does not look like 1 3/4 inches from the pics. I am trying to see if it would fit in my Cuisinart.

I really don't know. The toaster is assembled in England, but distributed through various means. I really like the cage and use it to hold all sorts of odd shaped pastries, etc.
