Watch out Rory, I'm coming for you!!
I recieved the 'Links Choice Pro Size Golf Driving Net with 24 Golf Practice Balls' about a week ago now. Reading previous reviews on people having great difficulty putting it up made me a little hesitant to try on my own, but I cracked on with it anyway, and I have to say it was stupid simple to do. I managed it, with little in the way of cursing and stress inside of 15 minutes and was smashing balls into it in no time at all. The quality of the net and and frame is sufficent enough to keep the balls from ending up in next doors kitchen, and it takes up very little in the way of square feet space on the ground. I generally stand about three metres from the net, and use all my clubs including my driver and 3 wood, and so far it hasnt budged a bit. The lake balls you get with this net are sufficent enough to use with the net, as lets face it, there intended purpose with this purchase does not require them to be in 'like new' condition. It has been an extra bonus for me to be able to get more time practicing my swing and getting the art of the swing right, after professional lessons, away from the course and in a safe environment where I can concentrate undistracted by other people cursing in the driving range bays next to me. If you are like me, a complete beginner with the intention of improving your swing so that you can get used to the motion in practice before hitting the course, then this net will be more than sufficent for your needs. Or for those who would like to hit a few balls to unwind after a harsh day at work, without the inconvenience of having to go to the driving range, this will do the trick for you!!!

A very satisfactory birdie
This net is pretty much identical to all the other nets of equal size and sometimes nearly twice the price. It replaced a 10 year old Longridge net that didn't have the floor sheet, but construction and frame were the same on inspection. No doubt they're all from the same factory in China! The mat does not protect the lawn and with irons it wears out really quickly, so you'll need an alternative, but it's only supplied as a sweetener. You also have to retrieve it from the net as it scoops up once you strike the ball. Not used the range balls provided as it seemed more sensible to use one's usual ball, but it's a nice addition if you don't want to wear the cover with repeated striking, particularly if you play a more expensive ball. I don't think any net in this budget would stand a driver with a real ball so maybe stick to the soft ones - I find the coloured Callaway HX balls the best for this as they still offer a little feedback feel-wise, unlike the foam or plastic ones. Thankfully, you don't need to attach the target area if you don't want to and so can avoid some of the issues other reviewers have experienced. All in all, great for practising with a 3 to say a 7 or 8 iron (you'll be getting very close to the net otherwise) and with a real ball. It can also be used with practice balls for chipping (garden size allowing) or driving. Great value for year round, anytime practise!

Good Value
This is a very good golf driving net that is fairly tall and wide. You will not have to worry about driving the ball outside the net, even if you aren't a good golf player like myself! However, the assembly of the product is not great which is why this is got 4 instead of 5 stars. It took me about 30mins to assemble and the instructions are not very clear at all. If you are buying this with a view to dismantling & assembling it very frequently, I would not recommend it as it is a hassle! Having said that, once the net is all set up, you will quickly forget about all this as you get 24 golf balls which makes it probably the best value for money driving net out there.

Great practice for the budding golfer
Bought this net for my young son who is learning to play golf. as well as lessons on a driving range, he loves to practice at home in our garden. Prior to getting this net, he was hitting golf balls into and over our hedge and our windows were in danger as well. Many of the golf balls ending up in our neighbours gardens. Now we have this practice net, which is much cheaper than me having to pay for replacement windows/green houses etc. the net is large and well made(although I wouldn't leave it erected all year round). It comes in it's own carryall storage bag. Although the instructions are basic, I quickly put it together and it has had lots of use. The supplied small mat to place the golf ball on prior to hitting, is very small so we replaced it with a coir doormat which doesn't fly off when you hit the ball. Aside from that it is very good and my son and I are pleased with it.

Pro size driving net target mat ripped too easily
A good product let down by a poor quality target mat which ripped after 2/3 uses. I'm not a big hitter and it was a simple 9 iron shot that created the first rip. Disappointing.

Overall ok, but not for swing speeds of 95+ mph in it's present state.
I bought this about 3 weeks ago and while it's a well thought out and easy to assemble bit of kit, there a couple of things the need improving, after a few days using the outer was unable to stop a stray shot and consequently the ball burst a hole in it. A few days later the same thing happened with the inner lining, essentially making the net as a whole redundant, although I will attempt to do a DIY repair job, but I would suggest to the manufacturers that the strength of both the outer net and inner lining be increased considerably.

Terrible Golf Net
A complete waste of money. To begin with the 'complementary' balls arrived as if they had been stuffed into the box, this therefore meant the box itself was not closed and the item arrived to me with a bent crumpled box and already open. Following this i preceeded to open the package and attempt to assemble the product. With unconcise and utterly useless instructions, with many spelling and grammatical errors the instructions were completely useless. Furthermore the pictures given to help in assembly were utterly useless and did not seem to even show the same golf net. For these reason, and the fact the net was acctually tangled when it came to me meaning the poles got tangled in it and had now have to be removed, this product will never be assembled. I am utterly angred by the outcome of this product and se it as wasted money and urge anybody reading this to buy another product... further to this post i would like the manufacturers to know a number of things, firstly, Spread is not a proper noun and Golf is spelt as it is there not 'Goif' as put in the instructions. DO NOT BUY!

value product
Great value for money. Works well with or without the target. The small mat did not last very long and I find it better to use an old section of carpet both to stand on and to drive off. The balls that were supplied are good quality and one was good enough to go into my bag to use on the course, It survived the recent winds without moving an inch It is great to hit balls every day without having to go to the range
