Great amp for outdoors
I bought this product to power two Polk Audio atrium speakers on my patio. This amp lives under a covered patio, but in Florida heat and humidity. So far I've been running it for about 6 months with no issues. The sound is loud and clear and it connects to my phone easily. My only complaints are that it makes a very loud beeping noise through the speakers when you turn it on and I haven't found a way to turn it down. The bluetooth range is pretty bad, and the remote control it comes with is extremely low quality. Despite all of this I'm still giving it 5 stars because I think it's an amazing value option for a budget outdoor speaker setup.

Not nearly as good as expected, Bluetooth stinks!
While this amp is a very compact size and was simple to set up I have great difficulty in believing that it's putting out 400 watts. I have two very nice Polk Audio outdoor speakers perfectly positioned above my deck and I really expected this thing to crank out some volume for large parties. Sadly, it doesn't come close to my expectations. The Bluetooth connectivity is also very weak; I'm currently sitting at my desk inside the house overlooking the deck. I'm exactly 14 feet from the amp (12' across and 2' feet inside) and if I set my phone on my desk (which is right up against the window) it loses the signal. If I then pick up my phone and hold it in the window it will reconnect. This is NOWHERE NEAR the 50' range they claim this has! Also, the description indicates a separate subwoofer connection but I am at a loss to find that. So, while I'm relatively happy with the purchase, if it wasn't such a good price I'd probably return it. This is an addendum to above: the Bluetooth connectivity is absolutely AWFUL. First connection went just fine but ever since it WILL NOT reconnect! The only workaround is to go into Bluetooth settings, select “forget this device”, then turn Bluetooth off and then back on and then, once again, pair the device. Then, if I walk inside the house I’ll lose the connection and when I walk back out I have to do it all over again! Wow, what a load of crap. 2nd addendum: This thing just keeps getting worse! I have my 2 speakers connected to 1 channel L and 2 channel R, I have sound out of both speakers BUT IT IS NOT STEREO! I just played a very familiar song with distinct left and right channels and I could only hear one side of the music but through both speakers. What is the deal with this thing??????????????????????????????? 3rd addendum: I'm now on my second unit since that seems to be all that Pyle could think to do. No one bothered to answer my questions about proper connections in order to get stereo sound and just said that I ought to return it as it must be defective. What in fact IS defective is the ludicrous manner in which Pyle has decided to label the speaker connections on this device. It SEEMS that I ought to connect one speaker to 1CH/L and another to 2CH/R but that is on fact NOT correct. I've included an edited photo in order to assist others in making sense of proper connections for stereo sound. As shown, to get stereo sound you need to connect BOTH speakers to either the left or right connections but NOT one to the right and another to the left. This is truly idiotic, and even after I asked for tech support as to how to properly connect my speakers I received nothing but an apology. It was only after trying what appeared to be a totally wrong arrangement did I finally get actual stereo sound. I hope this helps others avoid some frustration!

Works great and I tested it wet
I was pretty amazed how well this worked. It’s driving a pair of Polk audio speakers and I wet tested it. Never stopped working. Amazon music over it sounds bad but if you play local music on it, it sounds great. I blame that on Amazon music (I am a Amazon music HD subscriber and I have a full gig of internet connectivity. Gonna reevaluate the Amazon sub. It’s just not performing). The AMP is performing great though 5 stars for this one

It’s ‘ok’
Installed system in my boat. Works ok and sounds like what I expected for the price. Something I learned after a few weeks was it cuts out when the battery charger is on the boat battery. As soon as I disconnected charger the unit starts playing again. It even cuts out when I increase the rpm’s on the motor raising output of the engine voltage regulator. They need to raise the voltage cutoff I believe. I purchased an 8-40VDC input -12VDC output regulated power converter and the unit works fine now. DC Voltage Reducer Converter DC 8V-40V to 12V 6A 72W

Not very reliable and, bluetooth range is horrible
So, I have two - one in my boat and, one under the eaves on the back porch. The one in the boat is great - never had an issue. The one 6' under the eaves (never gotten wet) started making white noise all by itself about a year after the warranty expired :( If you bonk the unit with your hand, it goes away....for a while. The range on the bluetooth is abysmal - directionally maybe 2' or sometimes up to 8', depending on where you are. But, definitely could use a better antenna inside the unit. The unit delivers great sound and is easy to set up and manage - that's why I bought two. However, the lack of a robust second unit makes me not want to buy from Pyle again. -K

4 channels in a mini amp!
Impressed with the quality of this little unit. I bought it because it was one of the few mini amps that offered 4 channels. Easy to set up. Sounds great on my Sony bookshelf speakers and the ceiling speakers in the kitchen. Love the bluetooth though the range is somewhat limiting. It IS designed for a boat so I give it a pass on that point.

The perfect little box for all my needs.
This little guy is a rough and rugged build. The sound is LOUD and CRISP. The perfect addition to my little sound system. There are no frills here, you want bluetooth; it has it. You want wattage; it has it. You want multiple channels; you got it. No need for anything extra! The price is perfect, and the sound is awesome. Everyone else who critiques this box saying it's not this or that is just nit picking something that blows most other amps out the water. You can go get a vintage amp and spend way more, you can get the most high end amp but at the end this Pyle box does everything you would want and more. Just buy it.

They just don't last...Yes they are PFMRA440BB
When this amp works it sounds good. Unfortunately this is the second one to lose three out of four channels while turned off for the season. Channels 3 & 4 aren't even hooked up. According to the specs it should handle my speakers with ease and when working it sounds great - no distortion, no hissing or pops even at louder volumes. I picked it because it has an external power supply and should be more heat resistant than amps with internal supplies. They claim to provide a 1 year warranty - we'll see. I'll update with the details. Until then I am going to a different German manufacturer and using a full size AC/DC 30A converter.
