Rowlinson 6" Easy Fix Spiked Log Roll - Pack of 4

Update - have just purchased my third lot of these. Just as happy with the second and third lots as with the first. The product seems quite well made. The wire joining the log pieces together seems strong and securely attached. All seems quite sturdy as no issues when whacking it with a mallet to get into the ground. Looks good in my garden having made a little area to fill with bark chips. A lot of plans for the garden and if any more log roll border required would definitely buy this again

I ordered one of these packs to go round a flower bed inside a gravelled area. I used this to replace some ancient concrete kerbstone blocks that were discoloured and crumbling. The product was good quality and easy to use, the built in spikes are a great feature - so much so that I was able to easily reshape the flower bed into a circle shape which I prefer. That good experience led me to order a second batch for use on other flower beds in the same area. Second batch quality was not as good - looks as if it could have been lying in a warehouse for a while, hence the 4 stars.

Log edging doesn’t last forever, such is its nature. But compared with the fiddle of putting the standard log roll in place, this is a breeze. The four extended pegs are sturdy and you can fix long runs of 1.8 mtr lengths in double quick time, after which it seems happy to stay put. It will happily adopt to curves and undulations. Worth the extra bit of money, and delivery has been reliable.

Because I bought the spiked border roll during winter its taken me a while to use it. However now the weather is improving and its drier, I used it yesterday and found it to be excellent. I bought it to replace a border roll which had lasted about 12 years before finally disintegrating. When I did the other I had to make my own spikes to fit the roll to and then nail them to it. With Rowlingson including the spikes it was so much easier and quicker to install and now looks very nice. If it also lasts as long as the old stuff did I shall be well pleased. Though I might not be here by then to have to do it again. Highly recommended!

These are pretty good and easy to install. When they came delivered they were all wired up and it was a little confusing where to cut to open them up

This is a good basic wood edging, though untreated, for garden borders. We could not fault the service as from order to delivery was less than 48 hours. The fencing was well wrapped up in thick plastic, but quite heavy, requiring the delivery chap to carry it round to the back patio for us where we were able to unwrap it. The sections were actually wired together, so wire cutters were required to separate them. The only difficulty we had was straightening the wires to keep the run straight and avoid kinks as it was hammered into the ground. Some instructions would have been useful regarding this. We put the edging into the ground by means of a rubber mallet and having the spikes (four per piece) to ensure a good fit was helpful. This tidied up our plot nicely- a good buy.

perfect for my needs... used to divide a gravel area from a garden bed. Easily installed using a soft mallet and shapes easily to what you may want. Arrived wrapped in a clingfilm type wrap... on opening, out popped the biggest spider I've seen, luckily shooting off into the undergrowth. This was the second time I ordered this as the first vendor accepted the order without having stock, but didn't tell me. I only found out when checking Amazon for order details... however the second company had stock, delivered it quickly and at a lower cost...
