Yes it is fine mesh but a flimsy poor design and not fit for purpose! **Q: what size is the net,please?** A: Okay, its just under 4 foot in length and increases to just under 5 foot when extended. At arms reach you'll get about 7 foot. The net is just about 1 foot in length and just under 1 foot wide, but it narrows to about 10 inches (which is included in the overall length stated previously). These sizes are in imperial though, so you may have to convert. Its a pretty solid net however and I'm happy with it. At the long part of the pole are two slots. In the two slots are two white plastics catches with like a little ball at each end that stick out of the slots. Now I have the blue net in my hand. The handle part of the pole has 2 sets of holes. I have used the 1st set of holes. When you slot the 2 pieces together, the little white plastic 'balls' should pop into the holes of the blue handles. One went in easily, with the other I had to get the point of a biro and push the white bit down. With a little jiggle that went in too! It was bought to clean small amounts of debris from my cold water pod and it does the job perfectly. It feels fairly well made for the price. Obviously it’s not going to be the highest quality but it’s perfectly fit for purpose. The extendable pole is great but I’m not sure how long the tighteners that keep each part of the extension solid, will last before failing. Bought to replace a similarly cheap net that wasn’t of the same quality.
