It burns beautifully and cleanly, and while there might be a slight smell on first lighting and extinguishing, there is none of the smoke or odour you used to associate with paraffin in the old days. Hope this helps. **Q: Can i use this in my storm lamp?** A: Should be perfcctly OK. For the house where we have a few paraffin lamps for emergency, we usually use lamp oil that is a bit less smelly than Paraffin. If I run out of lamp oil I would use Paraffin. On the boat I use a white light paraffin lamp for an anchor light. Been using that for years.
