Good Device But With Some Logic Issues
This is a well made instrument, quality construction. I have compared its F Temp readings to a NIST bulb thermo I have and it within 1 degree, so accuracy is very good. However there are two issues. One is that it has a lot of measuring delay due to thermal lag of the heating and cooling of the sensor, so you need to let it stabilize in the environment you want to measure for at lest 3 minutes. The other issue is that it will not show the MAX / MIN at the same time as it displays the current temp. This is a severe issue, and for me it is really a deal killer. If you enable its MAX/MIN function its behavior is that it resets the previous MAX/MIN. After setting its state to record MAX/MIN, there is no way to have it read and report to you the current Temp. After the MAX/MIN state of the device is enabled all you can read out is those two measurements of what it has been recording as the MAX/MIN, This is a severe issue, as if you want to ask it for the current F you must disable its MAX/MIN state and return to its current reading state, which them resets the MAX/MIN it has been recoding. SO the previous MAX/MIN data is then lost. The device should be able to record MAX/MIN as it also reports the current Temp readings. I have a device by another manufacturer (ThermoPro TP357) that does this and also recodred a history log of the MAX/MIN. It is a far more useful device with much better programming logic. I do still use the PROTmex as its very large easy to read screen and it accuracy make it well suited to making current reading in a fixed location over period of time. It is a good, well made device, and I can recommend it, but please realize its failure to report and record MAX/MIN at the same time. as it shows the current temperature is a severe issue, You get one state or the other, but not both !

Excellent and not expensive
I got the Protmex HT607 because I had several little hygrometers from various manufacturers placed around the house and they did not agree with each other, or with the hygrometers clipped to my guitars' strings. After using the Protmex HT607, I got rid of the smallest, least accurate hygrometers. The Protmex HT607 shows humidity and temperature instantly. It is so sensitive that the tenths vary constantly as it samples the air. The probe is protected against damage and dust by a snap-on cover, at little hard to take off. The plastic case is strong, and comes with a velvet carrying pouch.

Reliable Readings and Equipment Performance.
I was looking for a reasonably priced calibrated meter that could be used to help determine the reliability of temperature and humidity of other devices and appliances. I had a hard time finding devices in this price range that specified that they were NIST (National Institute of Standards & Technology) certified, a benchmark for the reliability/quality of measurements. However, I was impressed that Protmex HT607 Temperature Humidity Meter literature did offer that the device could be evaluated/corrected by engineers for accuracy and reliability (via calibration). It is calibrated during its production. I have only had the Protmex HT607 Temperature Humidity Meter a couple of days, but it has met and exceeded my expectations. The device has done all it has been advertised to do and is quite responsive to ambient environmental conditions. I am currently conducting tests on my Ambient Weather Station Temperature/Dewpoint Array for calibration purposes under various conditions, and the Protmex HT607 Temperature Humidity Meter has helped me build confidence that my weather station array is at least within +/- 1 or 2 degrees Fahrenheit of other temperature/dewpoint sensor monitoring equipment. I am satisfied with the size of the display, the backlight, and the responsiveness of the meter. The meter seems to be durable as well. I have not received any consideration from Protmex and/or Amazon for this review. It is just nice to get a device that actually does what it is advertised to do.

Best Well Priced and accurate Hygrometer I have found.
Excellent Hygrometer that uses the Sensirion SHT31-DI Sensor with a Temp Spec of +/- 0.2 Deg C over 0 to 90 Deg C and a Relative Humidity Spec of +/- 2.5% max. Temperature and Humidity is accurate to Specification when checked. The Seller kindly provided Calibration Instructions for Future in house calibration every 12 months if needed. I recommend this Seller and this Protmex HT607. If you need a faster humidity and temp equilibrium, simply unscrew the cover cap over the sensor. For a future Improvement , Now that the SHT45-DI sensor are plentiful and low cost it would be a great calibration standard hygrometer if using the SHT45 as its Relative Humidity Spec is Typ +/-1% from 20 to 70% RH and a max of +/- 3% at 100% RH. Hoping this gets back to the manufacturer. It was however disappointing that Amazon Australia does not list the Protmex brand or this seller. I had to order Direct from Amazon US and loose free shipping being an Australian Prime member.

Easy to use
It's largely a matter of faith as to whether any hygrometer is giving accurate readings. There are ways of calibrating them, but these aren't all that reliable for a variety of reasons, like the fact that calibrating at one humidity level doesn't guarantee accuracy at other humidity levels. That's due to the fact that errors are nonlinear (not always off by a constant amount). Errors can be small (or even zero) over some portion of the range and large at others. Most home calibration methods, like the salt method, calibrate at the high extreme of the range, when our concern may be for accuracy elsewhere in the range. That issue is a tough one to get around, but digital sensors seem to have gotten better. In any case, taking any value of relative humidity as the gospel truth is a questionable proposition. What I look for is patterns of change in displayed RH as the environment changes and, to some degree, concurrence among multiple indicators. That's where this unit seems to excel. It gives me a reading that tracks (notice I didn't say "agrees") with other devices I have and with changes in the environment, such as running the heat like crazy and/or running a humidifier. Also, repeat measurements are reasonably stable under unchanging conditions. So, the readings are reliable (notice I didn't say "accurate"). The various bits of information the unit provides are convenient. For example, the dew point is sometimes more informative than the RH. This unit displays that. To sum up, even though I have no certainty that the readings this hygrometer gives me are precisely accurate RH values, I think it does about as well as you can expect in a consumer-grade product. It's consistent, easy to use, easy to read, compact, and affordable. If you need more than that, then you probably should be looking at laboratory equipment rather than something like this hygrometer. I like it and recommend it for most uses outside of a laboratory. It might even be fine in a lab but I'd need further validation tests to know that. In the real world, at affordable prices, in a convenient form factor, I think this is pretty much as good as it gets.

Acceptable unit for temperature and humidity levels.
The units reading is with in its specified range accuracy readings on the temperature and relative humidity readings. However the calculation for the wet bulb is off, it does not line up with the values given in a psychrometric chart. Also the DP value is correct given the DB and RH values.

Protmex humidity meter. HT606
Excellent product I usually use my fluke humidity meter but could not find it only to have left it on another job so this one did the job at the time , a point of reference the fluke I use when I got it back I put it up against the protmex HT607 just to see and to be honest there was very little in hardly nothing at all so yes for the money just buy it great little device well made and will last ๐๐

Seems good
Temp updates fast. Did a couple salt tests and it was within the +-3% youโd expect from a good meter. Started updating quickly, but like most meters took some minutes to stabilize as the sensor got to equilibrium. Overall happy with it. More accurate and faster than the cheapest meters. Can have it auto turn off, or stay on, which is handy.
