A 10' cable might be a little short but otherwise, if you're using a normal mixer and active (powered) PA speakers or monitors (such as our DXR Series), then an instrument cable is fine. If you're using a powered mixer (or a mixer with a power amplifier) connected to passive (non-powered) PA speakers or monitors, we'd strongly recommend using speaker cable rather than instrument cable.Best wishes,Yamaha Music **Q: Does it have a killswitch?** A: There is no killswitch. I have no 10 foot cable. Sad to say, I bought a shorter Planet Waves cable and it was faulty. I replaced it with Fender. I'm sure it was a one-off. **Q: Does this cable come with a lifetime warranty?** A: No idea. I have other Planet Waves cables that say Olanet Waves on them, but this one from Amazon doesn’t. It looks identical and it plays the same....I’m still not sure if I’ve been duped. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 1 February 2013* The title may seem overdramtic but trust me, you need to get this cable.Ok, so I'm new to the playing musical instruments game and fancied getting into it for a while, so I got myself anEpiphone Thunderbird and with it came a free Stagg Standard cable. I used this for a while and thought that the interferenceI could hear through my amp was normal. A friend of mine said that this was not normal and recommended this cable to me.I thought "What the hell, why not". Shopped around a bit through different sites such as Gear4Music and found that Amazonwas by far the cheapest place to buy it, it was less than half the price for the same thing, and it came with free shipping! The cable arrived and I gave it a try, plugged it in - no annoying humming noise any more. The sound quality upgrade istremendous too, there is much more depth to the noise coming from my bass. The connectors on the thing are nice too, gold plated for better connection and they look very sturdy and durable. The cable;very thick and again durable. They look like they can take plenty of punishment. The other nice feature was a little cable tiething clipped onto the wire, its like a little elastic band thing that wraps around the cable for when your not using it meaningno more unknotting wires.Overall I would definitely recommend this to any one, I have yet to see better cable and don't think I will for a while yet. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does what it should, very well. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 22 November 2016* Well made cable. I use it for my Fender Standard Jazz Bass and it sounds great, the quality of the cable is far beyond my expectations. The connection is a good fit and no crackling or interference whatsoever. The cable feels very solid itself and well built, especially in comparison to an old stagg cable I had lying around. The stagg cable felt weak and cheaply made, unlike this one. Perfect length for practising sitting in my room. So far nothing wrong with this cable. Overall a very good purchase and I would recommend to anyone who needs a good quality cable. Used for a couple of days so far, will update if anything changes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ good enough but over-priced *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 7 February 2018* Made by D'Addario. A good enough cable but over-priced for what it is (most American products seem to be). The moulded plastic plugs have these little rubber O-rings on them that come off whenever you plug in, but otherwise the cable does the job. Less spent on the fancy packaging and 25% cheaper on the market price would be about right for this product. ## Frequently Bought Together - D'Addario Accessories Cable, Black, 10 feet (PW-GRA-10) - D'Addario Accessories Guitar Pedal Power Supply - DC 9V Power Cord - 9V Power Supply for Guitar Pedals - Pedalboard Power Supply - PW-CT-9V - D'Addario Guitar Cable - Guitar Patch Cable - Instrument Cable - Guitar Accessories - Classic Series Cable - 0.5 Foot/152.4 MM - Right Angle - Dark Grey - 3 Pack --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/48344917-planet-waves-daddario-guitar-cable-guitar-lead-shielded-ends-1](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/48344917-planet-waves-daddario-guitar-cable-guitar-lead-shielded-ends-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
