UGREEN SD Card Reader, 4-IN-1 USB 3.0 to SD CF TF MS Card Adapter, 5Gbps

Does what it should. I find Ugreen products to be good quality.

Speed seems to be as expected, nice and snappy, and putting a CF card is a lot easier and more confidence inspiring than other similarly affordable offerings. With others it can feel a bit precarious putting the CF card in the slot and like you have to be careful or precise when inserting it, whereas with this model it is easy - an obvious and smooth slot. It sounds obvious but the last CF reader I bought off amazon was a little bit cheaper, but it felt like I was going to break either the card or the reader every time I used it. There was just too much play in the slot to be safe or practical. With this UGREEN card reader the tolerances are nice and tight so there is no doubt when inserting a card. I continue to be impressed with UGREEN products, they seem to strike a good balance of being affordable but also not crap. I only with it had a detatchable USB-C cable instead of the built in USB-A, but in fairness compact flash is hardly a popular or contemporary memory card.

This item is well built, and does the job really well, connecting at high speeds with the right cards and connected to USB3. It's a worthwhile product if you need to connect lots of different styles of SD cards, especially if you need to shift large videos to the PC at decent speeds, and I can't fault the build quality in any way. It's solidly constructed and doesn't seem like it will break if thrown into a bag. However, it's not without it's flaws. #1 Cable Length. It's a strange length. It's too short to run from my desktop to the tabletop. If I run it from my usb hub on the desktop (at USB2 speeds, but that's my hubs fault, not this) then it's too long. This is compounded by the second issue. #2 Item weight. The cable quality is great, it's a proper USB3 cable. But that's where the problems stem from. The actual device is very lightweight. So when you plug the USB end into something, due to the length of the cable, it kind of sits at a wonky angle due to the heft of the cable and the lightweight nature of the device. Minor flaws of an otherwise very good product. It would get 5 stars if they made the cable longer and added a bit of weight to the device itself. With the cable I'd say another 3 inches (5cm) would be enough, and maybe 1/4 oz (7g) weight in the device. Neither are deal breakers, and I will continue to use it, just annoyances that could be fixed with rv2.0

Really neat piece of kit. Just plug straight into a Windows 11 USB and it's ready to use. Good variety of slots for different card types and sizes. Fast image transfer speed. Very satisfied with this purchase. Prefer this to camera wi-fi which is a bit hit & miss.

Bought one of these in 2017 and it STILL works to this day, I have used it to image approximately 400 to 600 micro SD cards over that time, I even bought a spare in case it died and I needed it, thats still in a cupboard sealed. I only recently retired this one for the smaller one as it seems to work a little faster, but doesnt have as many option so keeping this on standby should i need to read a CF or Memory stick pro!. I have had 3 or 4 Ugreen products and EVERY one has been stellar, reliable and easy to use.

USB-A version works fine for me.

Bought after my ageing single card reader failed. Used on an Inetl i5 based computer with Windows 10 operating system. it is afew years old but was top of the range when bought and has had upgrades since with SSDs and graphic cards, etc. I have only used SDHC cards with it. Does it work? Yes. It transfers files quickly with no obvious problems. When I received it, I plugged it into the USB and decided to leave it there, plugging cards in as required to transfer images from camera. The first thing I noticed was that Windows 10 showed four extra storage drives. So each card slot shows as a drive permanently. After 4 or 5 weeks I decided that this was contributing to some peculiar problems I was having with Windows 10 (or perhaps the BIOS?), that I had not experienced before and so unplugged it. It now resides in my bottom drawer and I have bought another single card reader to use. EDIT : The value of hindsight... Since writing this my SSD failed and was showing symptoms of that failure I presume, at the time of writing this review. This card reader was therefore not likely to have caused the problems I had been experienced. I have now changed my rating from 3 stars to 4, accordingly.

Per la mia attività lavorativa corrente cercavo un lettore di schede SD e microSD che fosse compatibile con Linux. Alla fine, per pochi euro in più ho preso il modello UGREEN USB 3.0 completo (che ha anche il supporto per CF e MS) e devo dire che mi ha soddisfatto in pieno. Il prodotto è solido e viene riconosciuto automaticamente da Linux (almeno dal kernel 6.6.x) ed è anche molto veloce nel trasferimento dei dati tra PC e memorie varie. Il cavo è robusto e sufficientemente lungo (circa 50cm). Se proprio vogliamo trovargli una pecca è che gli alloggiamenti SDcard e microSD non hanno il sistema di aggancio a molla ma le card vanno esclusivamente a pressione. Comunque, considerato il costo, è più che accettabile.

Zonder installatie , werkt het goed. Je ziet 4 extra schijven in de verkenner.

Buen lector de tarjetas, incluyendo las compact flash, se descargan muy rápido,siempre que tú tarjeta lo permita.Se recomienda que la tarjeta tenga velocidades superiores a 120 MB/s. Como dato negativo se puede decir que el cable de conexión con el ordenador es fijo, muy grueso y rígido pero funcional. Muy recomendable.
