How can I get it to change color on its own?

Keep pressing the on button and it will allow you to select-no color, one color, or rotate through the colors...hope this helps

Will this cover an open floor plan area? (560-600sq ft)

I use it in a bedroom that is about 220 square feet. You might need more than 1 diffuser of this priduct’s size if you are looking to cover over 500 square feet.

Why won’t my diffuser turn on? Press power button and it beeps twice. Nothing happens.

Please press the timer button (on the right) first, then press the mist button(in the middle ) to adjust the mist intensity.

After 1 month and half it smells like something is burning, it is broken! Does this product have any warranty?

The booklet that came with the product states it is guaranteed for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Perhaps cleaning it weekly as the booklet suggests might get rid of the smell? Using a small amount of detergent that you use to wash dishes, into warm water for dilution, and clean the product with a rag.
