I like Kobalt tools because of being able to use the same battery on all of their tools. However, in this case, the drill developed a bad "grinding" noise while using. Research indicates bad gear box or bearings. I've tried contacting Kobalt support by email by the email was returned as undeliverable. I have no idea what caused that yet. Occasionally, a defective tool can be purchased. This was my occasion. This will not stop me from buy or recommending Kobalt tools.
