Review: Can't beat UniFi - I've messed around with other wireless network providers from many 'premium home' brands before and could never get a reliable system with good functionality. Instead I paid high prices for stuff that just caused me more frustration. Enter Ubiquiti. Brilliant stuff. Excellent physical quality. Unparallelled reliability. Superb network management software with more options than end users could ever need, and a wifi experience that users cant fault. This external extender is no different. Sits outside, gives me excellent network coverage for the garden. I don't use it as part of mesh network; the rest of my points are just standard AP's. I'm very happy. Thank you.

**Q: My existing unifi AP's dont go through the outer wall of my house, will this work with the same controller to mesh with the existing system?**
A: Did you buy this product and if so did it work as expected outside? I only ask as I also have the unifi AC pros inside and signal outside is terrible

**Q: I have a unifi  ap in the house, when i go to my shed should my phone automatically connect to this ac mesh as the signal is far greater?**
A: Hi,
This answer will differ depending on your connecting device, some devices will roam to the next AP however majority are sticky and do no like disconnecting. To ensure proper connectivity and roaming with the strongest signal you will need to configure the Min RSSI setting on the controller which will tell the AP to kick the client off when it reaches a certain signal level allowing the client to search and connect to the strongest AP.

**Q: Will this work with a POE+ switch?**
A: It work fine with the UniFi POE switch that I have , not sure about any other make of POE switch , I find the Ac outdoor mesh works very well in my garden

A: They do come with a wall mount

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Flawlessly.

I completed a new Wi-Fi upgrade project at the end of 2023, September / October time. Upgrading from an old Cisco Air Net mesh setup to Ubiquity. One of the changes I wanted to make was to have better Wi-Fi coverage in the garden. As our garden is small / medium sized, this UAP-AC-M was an ideal choice. It has been running flawlessly since the day I installed it. As it is weather resistant but has no official IP rating, it is designed to be deployed outside in the elements, so that's where I put it. (See pictures attached) The access point broadcasts on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies but does not support the 6Ghz range. (i.e Wi-Fi 6 or 7) Comes with a POE injector in the box, I didn't use mine as the site is wired with POE back to the comms room. I've found the AP consumes between 3 to 8 Watts of power. Again, depending on the range it is broadcasting, that will determine how much power it uses. I've read online that the antennas on these AP's can become brittle and or break but I have yet to see any signs of physical fatigue or failure as of yet. For the money I paid, I am very happy with it and would happily purchase another if needed. Always do your own research of course as your milage and requirements may vary. But for an outdoor Access Point this should not disappoint.
