Stamford Citronella Incense Sticks (Single Pack)

In Scotland we get a lot of Midges & Moths at night. I bought a pack of these and a citronella Coil for our back garden during a late night party. We had a light outside so I knew flies would swarm us in no time. These things keeped the midges, moths and general flys away. It works by 'blinding' their senses when they're around it, so they naturally stay away from the area. They smelled lovely, and every time I open the drawer the packets in I get a wife of the nice aroma. We found the burned for around 30 minutes as described, and the REALLY worked! When they went out we noticed the midges ect returning, so they were a great help at keeping the flies away from our guests. We used two at a time, and just stick them in a candle holder with some stones in it -- we were burning them on top of glass table outside, so it was safe.To conclude, these Citronella Incense Sticks worked like a treat! Highly recommend! Will be ordering more when needed - we still have plenty left from the one box!

Sticks arrived today, well packaged as described. Lit a stick right away at 1.15, still burning away at 1.45 with loads left on the stick. Good citronella smell and as with the citronella oil I use in my burner it will rid the flat of not only mozzies but spiders too. Great product good price as I didn't realise it was a 20 pack. I burn 2 a night normally so 3 packs will last right through to start of winter. Very happy customer.

For some reason, when I open the balcony door or window to my lounge, a number of black house flies start flying in and hanging around. Open windows in any other room in my home does not have the same effect. In order to combat the flies in my lounge when a window is open, I thought I'd try this. Surprisingly, the house flies do not like Stamford citronella incense. I find though that I need to have the burning incense in the middle of the lounge, where the flies tend to congregate, in order for the incense to be most effective. Also, the incense has to be on a box on a chair. Any lower, and the smoke doesn't seem to effect the flies much. The only drawback for me is the smell is very strong and if I have to keep burning these continuously, I find it's a bit much. So what I now do is burn some of the citronella incense and also another incense that I like so it doesn't overpower my nose. But that is a matter of personal preference and how your nose reacts to citronella.

These are perfect for those of us with a strong sense of smell. I have always found the scent of citronella candles/coils etc to be really harsh on my nose and often too much to bear. These incense sticks though, are brilliant. There is no denying the potency of the smell, they are very strong, however, the scent is far more pleasant. It reminds me of lemon flavour Turkish Delight and they work well for keeping those biters away

Bought with the idea that they’d help to repel mosquitoes and bugs in my home on an evening. They do not do so.Otherwise, Smells okay and burns as expected.

I really like the fresh smell of these incense sticks, they burn well and last a long time. I bought them to be an insect repellent as I always seem to be covered in bites, and always have been - I'm just one of those people who get bitten often. They do seem to have helped, but I'm not sure you could sell them on the factor.

Bought these for holiday so I could sit outside and not get bitten by mosquitoes. Not sure how well they worked as I also had a vitamin B1 patch and repellent on and didn't get bitten, but can say they do smell nice. I normally get bitten more than most, so the combination definitely worked as others in resort did get bitten! Happy with purchase.

They smell amazing but I bought them because of flies but they didn't work for that
