Great for my 2 1/2 year old
We brought for my two 1/2 year old boy. He can’t quite get used to how the pieces work but enjoys hours of fun once we’ve made something he wants. On the back theirs ideas of things to make to get your imagination started. They’ve cleverly added some holes on the box so you can use that too for the constructions. Pros: the possibilities are endless. We make cranes, cars, planes, dinosaurs etc. whatever my toddler imagines comes alive! They can neatly go back into the box The box has holes to add to your designs. Cons: some of the pieces don’t screw together and hold. The threads are not deep enough so when you try tighten it it will just keep spinning which is a little annoying. About 3/4 pieces are like this in our set. The box doesn’t come with a lid! For some reason the Melissa and doug toys never seem to come with a lid. We ordered this while away and luckily kept the amazon packaging to slide it back into when we went home. Slightly frustrating especially if you like to tidy the toys away in boxes etc. overall a great product and we would buy again even with the ‘cons’ of the product.

Lovely wooden tool set
This is wooden role play and dexterity toy is delightful. The wooden toolbox is the perfect storage medium for the rest of the pieces, and the set comes simply shrink-wrapped with a Melissa and Doug paper label. The set is well-made, with robust and safe wooden pieces that have been well-finished. My little nephew loves his wooden toys, and this is a great addition to his collection. The set includes little wooden nuts and bolts that can be connected through the sides of the caddy, as well as tools for tightening, banging, and sawing. I really like that the set features a mix of lightly varnished pieces that retain a real wooden appearance, and child-friendly brightly coloured ones. I picked this up on sale at £7.50 (and regret not picking up another couple to use as presents) but the quality and size of the set does justify the RRP.

Fabulous but, hide the hammer 😂
My grandson loves this - especially the hammer😂! I've had to hide it to save the doors and glass in my kitchen door!! He now plays with the hammer under supervision. This is a great toy, not only for the younger ones but as they grow they can make shapes and structures learning how to use tools as they go. I can see this being used for many years to come. A little pricy but worth it for the quality of the product. Vibrant colours that attract their attention and the colour does not come off or fade. Would recommend.

Lovely toy
Great toy for my 2-year-old. Our experience is different to some of the other reviews on here - the little wooden "nails" are supposed to only just fit in the holes so that you have to give them some welly with your little hammer for example! Our little boy loves it and specially enjoys taking it around with his daddy to help with the DIY. (I would love to say we weren't that gender-stereotypical a household but when it comes to DIY we are). Great that it is wood as well, just makes a contrast from having most things made of plastic. Would recommend for any toddlers.

Not great quality
My 2.5 year old daughter loves this toy, however the quality isn't great. Within a day of having it it's chipped and the wood has split in places
