Celestron 52252 100 mm Ultima Spotting Scope 45 Degrees, Grey

this is a superb scope for the money.the image quality is good even at 66times mag. with virtually no chromatic aberration except for a slight blue tinge to backlit objects.if money is no object then buy a swarovski. if you want real value for money buy this scope.you will need a robust tripod though..... my lightweight tripod wasn`t up to the job.

A great entry level scope, ideal for bird watching, particularly sea watching. The optics are decent for a scope at this price and while more experienced birders would want something more high end, it's ideal for me. It's a manageable weight and not too light so it's not as prone to wobbling in a strong wind. The build quality is also good and it feels sturdy.

Really good optical instrument. Bought for taking pictures of the Moon and Planets. Initial results are good, pictures showing Jupiter and some of the moons. (Jupiter was low down and quite faint). And a close up of the Moon and craters. Should get better results on a clearer starry night, so work in progress. (Click on the last picture for full view, Jupiter and 6 moons)

Excellent product. Quality solid construction. Focus is smooth. Surprised how clearly and detailed the moon looks on full zoom. Objects seem bright & clear. Carry case strong and durable too. Very pleased. Wow factor.

This scope give a very bright image with a wide image circle. There is a little CA and the zoom eyepiece is hopeless at higher magnifications (>about 40 times). But, for this amount of money, this is an excellent product. The brightness of the image makes the scope suitable for astro work as well as birding etc.

Good item. Would recommend buying a real good tripod though. The moon filter fits into the eye rubber if you put it in the wrong way round. But still a good item

I was impressed from the very second I saw it. It is just a great piece of engineering. The optics are wonderful. I am very pleased with it so far, but there is a long, and hopefully successful bird watsching season ahead. Let's hope!

very good scope for the money, good clear viewing, well built, although at full margination very hard to focus.

this scope is awesome, this is my first spotting scope. Any first time buyer can surely trust the product. image is very crisp and detailed. only problem i face is to find a phone adapter for digiscoping.

Bought the scope for ALAPPUZHA District Rifle Club 50 meter Shooting Range to check the target after shooting. You can read the MRP on a Cement Bag at 40 meters. The build quality is superb. Magnification is enough to see clearly to 300 meters. Scope has no mini tripod, this has to be bought separately. The eye piece comes in a separate box: just screw it in. There is a tripod attachment, which makes fixing the scope easy, on to any standard tripod. Adjust the eye piece for magnification and a separate small dial on top for focusing. You will get crisp crystal clear view. Amazing buy. Just loved it. Came packed securely inside its own cover.
