Great! But size up.
Great pants. I would size up. My daughter is tall and thin and wears a 12. But fits perfectly in size 14 in these pants! She said they are comfortable. This was a good find. I’ll buy more when she out grows this size.

Excellent Riding Pants for Kids
About my rating "fit as expected"...these pants fit perfectly length wise and through the legs; however, they are too big in the waist. I almost sent them back, but could not conceive a size smaller fitting through the legs/length. After talking to others at the riding school I concluded it is a common issue for the waist to always be too big, especially for children. The pants have belt loops, so we ordered a nice belt. My daughter has no complaints about their fit as long as she remembers to wear her belt. :-) Soft yet thinner and breathable. A great summer pant for riding. These clean up easily with a toss in the washer and dry on low heat (or hang dry if you have the time). So far with weekly lessons and washing they are holding up wonderfully. The only issue is my daughter does not like the elastic strap that goes under the foot to keep them from riding up out of her boots. It is very thin so it is just my daughter's preference, not a design flaw in my opinion. Otherwise she loves these pants and I am also pleased with them.

Very nice
My daughter is very skinny at 53” and 56 lbs, so I ordered the size 10. Unfortunately they were too big for her. These breeches are great quality, super soft and the perfect amount of stretchy. The size just doesn’t work for my kiddo. The thighs were just too big, so I don’t even think the next size down would work for her. She has the Tuffrider schooler pants in size 10, which are more like tights, and they fit her perfect. If my daughter were thicker, they would be amazing, but unfortunately I have to return them.

Super Warm & Comfy
UPDATE: Still love them, but three things: 1) if you put them in the dryer - even on the lowest setting - the fabric will pill up. I didn't see any issues AT ALL with pilling the first several times I wore/washed/hung-to-dry, but ONE TIME I put them in the dryer on LOW and I got a bunch of pilling pretty much all over. Nothing a quick fabric shave won't fix in this case, but if you machine dry all the time, I'm certain it will make them a mess - and shorten the lifespan. 2) the drawstring waistband on one of these (I have two pairs) broke after a few wears. Admittedly, I cinched the waist really tight (clothes fit me weird - I have a large rear and a small waist, so I have to pull the waistband extra tight to keep them up). But the inner string is just that - a string... NO elastic in it at all - AND no belt loops. So keep that in mind if you generally need to belt your britches. 3) These are not all that stretchy overall. They are WARM, fleece lined, and comfortable, but they are not all that stretchy like typical breeches or riding tights. BUT STILL, for the price and purpose, I'm leaving my original 4-stars. I'd still probably get another pair if the weather is super cold. I was looking for some riding pants for the winter months, and these seemed to fit the bill. They fleece-lined, very warm and soft - kind of like modified sweatpants, which (so far) is great. They are pull-on with a drawstring waist. One front pocket, knee patches, and elastic-panel calves. They seem to be true-to-size - everything is long on me (I'm 5'1" and definitely NOT 110 lbs), so I can't really speak to the length, but the fit seems to be accurate otherwise. I'll be putting these to the test over the next several weeks, so time will tell. But for the price and function, these seem to be right on.

Great pair of jodphurs
I bought these for my 8 year old daughter for riding camp. This was her first camp and I didn't want to spend a lot of money in case she didn't like it - these are a great price and I am very impressed with the quality. They are a nice thick material with a bit of stretch, but still very comfortable and not too hot. My daughter found these much more comfortable than some of the very tight-fitting, less stretchy ones she tried on at the tack store. I washed these 4 times already and stains have easily come out - they still look just like new. If between sizes or not sure what to order, I would definitely recommend ordering a size larger than usual. My daughter normally wears a size 7 and is quite short - I ordered a size 8 and they fit her perfectly, even in length. I usually have to hem all of her pants, but not these. She did wear them with a cuff at the hem, so for a taller rider you could get a little more length by not turning up the cuff. They come with straps that you can button on/off if you want to wear them with the straps. Bottom line - very comfortable jods, great price and great quality! We'll definitely be ordering more pairs in other colors now that we know she loves riding and will be continuing with lessons.

I've bought the ivory model in large and this one (black and green) and the blue one in XL. This model is sized a lot smaller than the 2 others !!! Even smaller than the Large one !

My teen daughter wore these for winter riding. Nothing else in this price category compares to it. Great elastic waist. They’re warm and comfortable.

My girls absolutely love these pants. Fit perfectly. Perfect for beginner riders.

I was a little worried these would be too thin but they’ve been great for summer riding. Lots of stretch, comfy riding tights with grips in the right places. You would probably find them too thin for all day riding, but for short riding sessions and general stable work on hot days, they’re perfect.
