I bought this to replace an older style nightlatch on my timber front door and really impressed. The lock feels solid, well-made and much more secure than my previous one. Installation was straightforward and all the necessary fittings were included. I did have to chisel a wider opening in the door frame but that was easy. The deadlocking feature gives extra peace of mind. The lock operates smoothly with a positive action. Overall, it's an excellent value upgrade if you're looking for a reliable, high-quality front door nightlatch. Highly recommended. Can't fault it

After getting locked out of my house, I unfortunately had to break my old lock to regain entry. I was left with a broken door and needed a replacement immediately. I am not a locksmith and I don't know much about lock mechanisms, so I was worried about buying the wrong size. ​Why I chose this one I based my purchase entirely on "visual matching." I looked at the broken lock and compared it to the pictures of this one. It looked identical in shape and style, so I took the risk. ​Installation & Fit I am pleased to report that the visual match strategy worked. This lock fit exactly into the existing holes left by the old one. I did not have to drill new holes or chisel out any wood. I installed it by myself in just a few minutes using standard tools. ​Quality & Verdict It works flawlessly. The mechanism is smooth, and it doesn't stick or catch. It comes with 2 keys, which is standard but essential. Visually, it looks exactly like the original lock, so you would never know the door had been repaired. If you are looking to replace an old lock without hiring a professional, this is a great, easy-to-fit option.

Easy to fit, does the job.

I bought this lock to replace an old Yale lock of the same model that had, after years of use, succumbed to the weather. I chose Yale because I trust them, the product was competitively priced and being the same model I knew it would fit easily as a replacement. (it did). I was delighted. Until the next day when I called in at the key cutter for spare keys. It turns out that Yale has cleverly added a little feature (which they have then patented) that means you can only use genuine Yale keyways. These turned out to be £11 each (from Timpsons) against a fiver for clone key blanks. The three additional keys I needed ended up costing as much as the whole lock.

Bought to replace the previous mechanism. Just slotted right in. Less than 5 minutes and everything was done

Perfect extra lock for our summer house, the only drawback was it was difficult to find someone that could cut extra keys because they did not carry the key blanks. The lock only comes with two keys. We ordered extra blanks via Amazon and within a few days had them cut locally.
