What is the maximum load / current rating for this reel?

The maximum load when fully unwound: 3,120 W (13 A × 240 V). Keeping it wound significantly reduces safe load and increases risk of overheating.

What safety features are included?

The reel includes shuttered sockets, thermal cut-out, on/off switch, LED power indicator, high-visibility cable, and robust build for safe use.

Why does the cable reel’s thermal cut-out keep tripping?

The thermal cut-out stops overheating when the cable is tightly reeled. Unplug devices, unwind the 10m cable fully, let it cool (30 mins), then reset if needed. Reconnect and try and stay within limits: 720W wound, 3120W unwound.

Do I need to fully unwind the cable?

Yes, always unwind fully for heavier loads. Using it coiled reduces capacity and may trigger the thermal cut-out.
