This item is very nice and being neutral in colour looks great in my bathroom. The thumb lip makes it comfortable to hold and the ridges really do improve the lather of the shaving cream.

It's the right size to fit in my hand and its not too heavy. I use a good quality shaving soap and the ridges help whip up a decent lather. It looks good and it's not too expensive. It's a good quality item and I'd recommend it.

I have used many shaving bowls over the decades, but this one has them all beat!. The fine grooves in the bowl help create a fine volume of lather very quickly. It’s solid, good value for ones money too. I put the bowl atop a plastic jug full of boiling water, meaning the lather is nice & hot. The water comes up around the bowl. Nice size for a 4 pass shave which i favour for a super smooth result. I used it with proraso green cream (tube), simpson trafalgar t3 & a super iridium blade in a merkur futur razor on 6 ( this is one of my favoured razors, used most days on max 6). A brilliant smooth shave was achieved very easily. Very important aspect of this bowl, it can create a very fine lather with very small air bubbles, this gives a smooth lather which covers the face quickly & evenly. Minimal face lathering required. If bubbles are quite large, means too much water & will not provide that degree of protection for the skin.

I purchased this shaving as I was after a larger siz e than my existing one. This is absolutely perfect! The ridged inner surface helps to rapidly build up a good lather. I can't see these ridges being detrimental to any shaving brush as I have seen mentioned before. The size is also spot on, big enough to contain all that foam! Oh, looks pretty cool too.

I have used other styles of bowls and managed to get a good lather on most after a while , but this bowl is great , i have tried it with shaving cream (prora**o) and I have rubbed a hard puck ( wool f*t ) in the bottom too . Each time both gave a great shaving lather in no time at all as the small ridges cause a lather to form in seconds . Best shaving bowl I’ve used and a good size at about 5 1/2 inches so you don’t bang your brush against the sides either as you lather up and at the price it’s fantastic , compete’s with bowls 3 times the price , so good ive just bought a second in case of accidental breakage and still only cost me two thirds of a ‘ Brand’ . Would definitely recommend especially at the price I paid £ 11.99.

I love this bowl. It deserves a nice quality brush & high quality shaving soap to bring out its greatness. The inbuilt ridges in the base of the bowl which fits snugly into the palm of your hand, accentuate the light circular action of the brush and create a lovely foam in a very short time.

Coming from a smooth bottom stainless bowl. To one of these, this produces an awesome lather within 15 seconds. And it retains heat well! Definitely a great buy for around 10 bucks

Je me rase au coupe choux depuis plusieurs décennies et j'ai essayé bien des modèles de bols à raser. Celui-ci est tout simplement parfait ! Il est magique. Très bonne tenue en main et taille parfaite. Je fais couler de l'eau chaude dedans un petit moment, juste le temps de passer le rasoir sur le cuir et la porcelaine reste chaude un bon moment. les rainures du fond lui confèrent un pouvoir exceptionnel pour monter la mousse, c'est surprenant. Juste la pointe des poils du blaireau à tremper dans la crème à raser et on tourne lentement ! Peu de temps après on se retrouve avec une quantité incroyable de mousse onctueuse et chaude pour un rasage plaisir sans pareil. Un vraie moment d'exception. Je crois que j'ai découvert la perfection absolus. Je recommande vivement +++++
