Silverline 598477 Mini Laser Level 210 mm

I needed this item to check the fall on my driveway. It did the job faultlessly. It can project either a spot, which has a good range, or a horizontal line, which is understandably not so bright but shows nicely on an adjacent wall. At the back end is a foot that can be screwed out for fine adjustment of the level. At the front end a small stabilizer foot swings out. There is a magnetic base which was just strong enough to hold the level steady on my fridge. All in all, good value for money.

Laser works well when getting levels in but you do need to use after the sun is low or early evening to reach the 20m reading, I used it on levels to a building raft 12m x 5m and got levels in in all directions and it passed the building inspectors inspection, so I'm please, a good buy for the price.

I brought the laser level to check levels on a new floor. It works and the beam both horizontal and pinpoint work well. The only issue for me was the lasers are fixed height so have to be used with a measure which isn't supplied. It would be better in my opinion if a small ruler was provided with the laser level.A reasonable unit for occasional DIY use.

No idea whether this is any good as a spirit level...I doubt that the flat laser line is any real use in practice given it's not very bright and difficult to see during the day!So why the 5 star reviews...well it turns out what the spirit level lacks as a spirit level it more than makes up for as a toy for my cat. Gingie the cat just loves chasing the laser dot around the living room....he simply can't get enough of it.My real reason for purchase is that I needed a laser pointer which is also magnetic so I can check the alignment of car panels on my project car....in this regard the dot pointer is more than bright enough for my needs...I can easily see it across a 10m room even in daylight. So 5 stars but not for it's intended use....never the less it is well made and for £10 a bargain I think. Level has a fine tune which is a brass fitting which is also nice to see.

This could be a really good product but it is not sufficiently well made to be useful.The laser beam is parallel to the bottom edge of the level but the vials are not, so it is not accurate for setting out a horizontal beam or when used as a normal spirit level.The rotating front feet do not work correctly with the adjustable rear foot because they are not in the same plane as the bottom face of the level, but are slightly too high.The magnetic strip is only just strong enough to support the weight of the product and it will slip if attached to a slippery surface or a very slightly curved one like the front of a fridge.

Easy to use accurate laser level.

I have had one of these for some time, but unfortunately allowed the battery to leak - so a replacement needed!A very useful and cheap little tool for checking levels via the laser - too short to be much good as an actual spirit level, but the laser is very useful.

Laser level is average. Beam is weak. Get what you pay for so 4 stars for the price
