improvement on previous version or is it see below
ok here we goi bought these as a replacement for the heavily used 2015 version which i wore daily and quite often during some extreme weather on a mountain bike. when i occasionally came off the bike they stayed attached and workingthe 2015 version became worn and battery life diminished to about 4 hours and the low battery warning diminished to about 15 mins instead of one hour.so i can ride my bike for six hours, so time to get some new ones. well the price increase of £15 was partly due to the pound dropping in value and inflation i guess. oh and you do not get the very uncomfortable arm band which i never used so call it a £20 increase in price. so has the increased price been fair, debatable. so the new version review begins.PHYSICALLYin appearance the same, although i like the new colours (colors if you want US English) options, they are just as comfortable and when i come off my bike, i am sure they will stay on, so i will still be able to hear great music and talk to some one on the phone ( emergency services ;-) maybe) whilst laying injured. a great fit and you can forget you are wearing them, almost.CHANGEfirst change i noticed was the voice change although it is still a female with a slightly different american accent, can be annoying because i get on my bike to get away from the female voice talking to me ;-). instead of saying "battery full, high, medium and low battery", She now says E.G "battery time remaining 6 hours" which is very helpful.(improvement)annoying addition which i really do not like is when you tap the left hand side twice to go forward one track the old version just moved forward a track now SHE tells you it is "moving forward one track." now i know i have moved forward i do not need it to tell me, just do it FFS. this is really annoying to the point that i resist using this option.CONTROLSeasy to use although the moving forward one track often just pauses the track, maybe they could put these options on different sides to eradicate the problemSOUND QUALITYgreatly improved in quality (although i may have got used to depreciation with the 2015 set) and volume capability seems to have increased, something 2015 reviewers focused on. personally when i am in a public place i do not have the volume loud enough to block out surrounding sounds (safety reasons). but when out in the countryside on the bike riding the trails you can give it some volume. i have not had to go to full volume, but with the 2015 i could. (improvement in sound quality and volume)PHONE CONTROLS/ OPTIONSwith the 2015 version the quality of phone calls were pretty poor, callers complained about the wind noise even when i was stationary. i have not yet received or made a call whilst wearing the new version so can not comment on how they perform. i understand that you can tell your mobile instructions if you have the correct phone and can be bothered to set it up. music levels lower and a beep in the ear when a text is receivedCHARGINGthey do appear to charge very quickly compared to the 2015 version but again age maybe a factorSUMMARYan improvement at a price and an annoying unnecessary addition. damn useful piece of equipment though.FEEDBACKto plantronics, is give us a choice of gender and nationality. my guess is if you buy this product in France or Germany you will get a french or German voice respectfully, why not give us an English voice and a choice of male or female. i would happily pay an extra fiver for Michael Cane or Helen Mirren ;-). you have 3 years to sort it.some of the above review included humour (humor if american) and i hope no one took offense, but there were some valid points which i hope were helpful. its a good product and if anyone wants me to test their more superior product contact me .ENJOY LIFE YOU MIGHT ONLY HAVE ONE

Best workout headphones
Love these. My second pair. First pair lasted 4 years of rough use use working out 5 times a week and living in the bottom of my gym bag in-between. The sweat eventually broke down the glue holding one of the earbuds together, I stuck it back together with hot-glue and got another year out of them.Battery was still holding a charge well by the time I finally destroyed the last pair. 15 minutes plugged into the car or a power-bank on the way to training is enough to keep them alive for a full session if you forget to charge them. These are not very isolating which I personally prefer when working out as I like some awareness of what's going on around me. The only downside is that they don't get super loud, combined with the lack of isolation means they won't always drown out background music. They are easy to put in your ears and never fall out. The band position is perfect, low enough to fit under a backwards cap, high enough that it never gets caught on clothing or a barbell. When the first pair finally died I was of course excited to buy something new and shiny. After a fair bit of research I found no better alternatives so happily bought the same again. Wouldn't be surprised if I am back purchasing a third pair in a few years.

Comfortable and not at all uncomfortable to wear for extended periods but sound quality could be inproved
Bought these as a wireless set of headphones after buying my iPhone 8 plus and finding out that there was no 3.5mm jack in the bottom of the phone.Initially I had the Jabra Coach v1.4.0 which had a normal cable with volume control and control button on the cable. As it was a normal cable, the twists it developed couldn't be straightened and this really played on my OCD so I had to replace them,Been watching the BackBeat Fit now for some time and when the v2 came out, I felt they were a little extortionate for my pocket but nearly 12mths later I bit the bullet and bought them.Initial thoughts are that they are comfortable to wear, the band round the back of your neck takes a bit of getting used to and the eat buds sit really lightly in your ear so don't cause too much distress with tightness of the ear canal like my Jabra Coach earphone buds did.The downsize to this is I feel that this compromises the sound quality, particularly the bass level of the music you are listening to. If you press the ear buds into your ear or cover your ears with the palms of your hands, the sound quality is more crisp and the bass is increased. That said, I think I prefer these purely for the comfort point of view, i've had them on for 2hrs plus with no discomfort. The Jabra's wouldn't last 30mins before I was removing them to give my ears a rest.I think that sound quality could be improved by giving users a choice of different types of ear buds to wear in different situations but for the purpose it was designed, I think these do more than an ample job.The only other negative I can think of it that other headphones I've had and the previous version of the BackBeat FIT had a storage pouch and this new one does not; I've bought a 3rd party one for storage off Amazon.Last negative is that the microusb charging cable is only about 12cm long meaning that charging it isn't the easiest but I had play of spares so this wasn't an issue for me
