Great little accessory for your guitar strap...
Great little accessory for your guitar strap. I use this on the strap for my ukulele bass. Because it doeasn't have a strap button at the neck end of the body - I was going to fit a second strap button but found that this was a better solution. One end goes under the strings at the headstock just behind the nut and the other end loops through the strap button hole. I can then easily and quickly detach the strap and because my U-bass is very short scale having the strap going to the headstock gives a nice balance. The 'clip' mechanism is basically the same type of thing as you find on a camera strap or ruck sack. It seems perfectly strong enough for the job and has worked on my strap for over a year.

Great alternative to drilling for a strap button!
This was a lifesaver, well, a guitar saver to be more precise. I have a beautiful Martin acoustic that I didn't want to drill into to fit a strap button. This is perfect and solid enough to gig with.

Great tool
Such a simple idea that works perfectly. My guitar feels wonderfully secure using this piece of kit rather than rely on my old Boy Scout knots. Recommend it to anyone.

Perfectly simple idea that works simply perfectly
When purchasing a Planet Waves quick-release guitar strap (reviewed separately) I also bought a couple of these so that I could add them to other, normal guitar straps if the need ever arose. If you have a guitar that lacks a top strap button and you don't fancy your chances at being able to fit one yourself without damaging something, these are ideal. Simply tie one end around the neck of the guitar above the nut as normal (you can just pass the lace around the neck, pass the clip through the loop and pull it tight for a secure fit) and then tie the other end to your favourite guitar strap (again, just pass the lace through the normal button-hole on the strap and then pass the clip through the loop and pull tight). Job done! When you clip the two halves together, you have one end of your strap securely fastened to the head of the guitar while the other end can then be fastened to a bottom strap button as normal. Of course, if your guitar also lacks a bottom strap button, then this doesn't solve all your problems and you're probably going to have to resort to a bit of woodworking anyway, but at least you'll only need to fit one rather than two.

No Problem Unattaching
I nearly didn't purchase this item due to the 1 star reviews saying it is anything but quick release as it is impossible to unfasten. I just have to say that despite my arthritic fingers I have had no problem detaching or attaching it so don't be put off.

Great strap tie
Makes disconnecting and connecting straps a doddle. Have three of these now and would recommend.

Mon deuxième après avoir donné le premier à un ami. S'installe très simplement sur ma guitare acoustique. Et en quelques seconde, je peux mettre ou détacher la sangle.

I've been using a shoe string for decades, and only recently decided to see if there are any alternatives. I found this option and decided to give it a try. Installation is a breeze, and the buckle feels very secure. The buckle is similar to the typical chest strap buckle of a backpack, but more slick looking and narrow. Others here said that they struggle to open and close the buckle, but I've had no issues like that. Maybe they had defective units? Mine works great. It's easy to use and also feels secure. Assuming that they keep making these strap holders, I will never use a shoe string again.
