Simple to fit it's a good cheap alternative to a comete rail

Rather than replace the whole riser rail I decided to give this accessory a try. I have a 18mm rail, and it tightens down quite successfully on it. To be fair it looks pretty good when up. I've noticed in a few reviews people saying that "the shower head won't fit into the holder" also "the shower head droops down constantly" Well. The slider has 2 different sized appatures which should be suitable for all shower heads. Also. There is a screw which when tightened to your own requirements tensions the shower head holder. All in all I'm well pleased with it. Saved me the trouble of possibly having to drill more holes through tiling to fit a new riser bar.

I was doubting myself after buying this, as it was such a low price. But. It’s great; very good quality, easy to fit and looks great. Better than the far more expensive holder that it replaced.

It seems to work well. I'm pleased with it. I replaced the shower hose and shower head at the same time. The main thing I learned was that the shower hose came with a label ('ve attached a picture) saying that the connections on the ends were the same, just with different widths, so to choose the end that fits best in the shower holder and just screw the other end into the shower. One end was narrower (as pictured) and fits well enough, the other end wouldn't fit into the shower head at all, so its worth trying your cable both ways round if you're having trouble. Visually the ends look so similar I would have thought they were the same if it hadn't told me they were different so I'd check this even if you think they're identical. Even holding the ends next to each other they looked the same to me. Its also the width of the connection of the shower hose that goes into the holder, not the base of the handle which is wider (the white plastic on my picture is the shower handle, the silver is the shower cable). It's easier to put the shower head back in the holder than it looks on the video, It turns out I'm not good at trying to do it with one hand while also looking at it on the camera screen with no depth perception. I didn't have any problems with the holder, it was easy to attach and worked fine straight away without any of the fiddling that seems to have been necessary in some of the other reviews. Because of how close my electric shower is to the rail it only fits this way round on mine - with the shorter end on that side. My electric shower is a Triton T80si. So I should have replaced this years ago but have been precariously balancing the shower head on the old broken unit using the sponger holder to help me, little did I know these cost minimal pennies and therefore actually make my bathroom look like I’m not a pauper! All in all a good product in the main bathroom, but on my shower I think I’ve fallen into the the room larger shower head bracket (again another purchase I didn’t think would be as cheap!) and the holder-upper-thingy sags when not in use giving my shower a sad appearance. However when the force of the water run through the head it stands up tall and proud and I am able to shower without issue!

Did the job

This replacement shower head holder is easy to fit, grips the shower riser of my aqualisa smart shower and keeps the head at the desired angle, whatever that may be. Seems decent quality. Only time will tell if it maintains its ability to keep the shower head firm, but as it is a simple friction affair, somewhat adjustable with a screw, I see no obvious reason why it would fail in the near future. Removing the Aqualisa supplied version is a pain, so I didn’t even attempt it.

Easy to assemble and does the trick. But my shower head is a bit bigger and heavier than standard ones and it keeps tilting down. It is not a big problem since when in use, the pressure of the water keeps it in good position, but as soon as I turn the water down, it tilts down.
