Summer Infant City Tote Changing Bag

After looking on line, on the high street for a decent changing bag and reading other people's reviews I decided to buy this changing bag.It looked quite nice, came with a changing mat and was a good price - I wasn't sure if it would live up to the picture and be a bit cheap when it arrived but I was more than pleasantly surprised (as was my husband, he liked it too!)The bag is good quality, a modern, unfussy design suitable for both parents to use and it doesn't look like a baby bag either which is good.It has a lot of space and compartments for the baby's bits and pieces for nappy changes etc and it isn't bulky or heavy to carry when full!Compared to all of the more expensive changing bags that I have seen in shops (most start at £30 and go up to £60 or £70) this is actually nicer and of the same quality.I'm glad I read the reviews and decided to buy it.

Even though this is a change bag, I'm actually using this to tote all of my sons diabetes kit.He's 4 years old and type 1, so there is a lot of gear to carry around for him.We've bought several backpacks in the past, but they never quite did the job, being either too big or too small, and looked far from fashionable.This is the perfect size, lots of pockets, inside and out. What I love the most is the two integral bottle pockets at either end of the bag. Means I can carry water and juice.Practical and stylish it meets all my needs!Perfect!I'll be keeping an eye on this brand for something funkier for him to use himself when he's old enough._________________________________________________________________________________________________________Update: it's now almost the end of 2013 and the bag is still going strong though starting to show sign sign of wear on the bottom (well it does get used everyday!). It's been good enough that I would purchase the same again. Only thing that could possibly make it better for me is an outer mesh pocket on one side.

The sides have space to put baby's bottle or parent's drink. Quite deep pockets.There is a small pocket outside where you can put your phone and have quick access to it while walking.It comes with a white changing mat, quite small but handy. The inside colour is green and I like the fact that it has many little pockets inside and separate section for the changing mat which can be dirty after use on a public surface.The bag is big and fits a lot of things in and if you have a one hand rail buggy/pram you can hand the bag on the rail.However, I usually use a smaller bag, lighter than this one.

Pleasantly surprised by the bag.It was bigger than I thought it would be. The photo was deceptive in that it made me think this bag was similar in size to an avg handbag.It's real good size, as big as messenger bag style baby bags we've owned previously. The design on the bag is also very nice, understated and subtle.The inside is that usual wipeable white vinyl style lining, and it comes with a simple foldable changing mat. Ok the mat is small and thin - but no worse than you get with most bags.The two pouches on either end are easily large enough for any brand of baby bottleAll in all this bag is every bit as stylish as other bags at 3 or 4 times the price.A real winner. Herself was very pleased with it. Would make a good gift for an expectant mother.

I like this bag enough that I am now buying a second one after the zip broke 6 months in..... Although smaller than some, it holds all the essentials and stops me carting lots of extras "just in case", keeping the whole kit and caboodle light enough to manage. The zip HAS broken though, as has the strap, probably as a result of regular stuffing-to-perceived-capacity!We carry; a complete change of clothes, muslin, bib, 5-6 nappies, 1/2 pack of wipes, two bottles, formula pot, food pot and spoon, food pouch, emergency formula carton, emergency spare bottle, scissors, nappy bags, hand gel, sun-cream small changing mat, large disposable changing mat (for grubby places - fits in very handy outer pocket so it can be whipped out and deployed without needing to put baby down first).Zip top access means bag can be used one handed, whilst still on shoulder and holding wriggly baby with other hand. Husband will also carry happily.

Im not one to write reviews on everything I buy but I felt I had to warn others against buying this bag.I wanted a stylish yet affordable bag to carry the essentials for a baby. At first it was great, looked nice and had enough room for nappies etc.But....After the first week the strap broke, so I had to tie it together. Manageable. Then.....The zip broke, the strap then completely snapped making it useless.So disappointed the I've got to fork out another £30 on another bag.I'd say don't buy this bag, unless I was the unlucky one???

I purchased this item in Nov 2012 and after less than 4 months time (of which I was on holiday for 2 weeks not using this changing bag), the item is no longer comfortably functional. The the cloth on the zipper broke apart a couple weeks ago, but as the zipper continued to work, I put a key change ring on it and continued using the bag. Yesterday while out, one of the buckles on long strap broke and so this bag can only be carried via the two short straps. These straps are too short to go on a pram and to short to be carried on your shoulder comfortably.The bag is on a smaller side, but this is useful if you are out and about a lot without a car as it prevents you from having a heavy bag to tote around. The two side bottle holders are very convenient.When I purchased this bag is was nearly 20 GBP. Would have been better to put that money towards a more expensive bag.
