Easy to cut and install, it protects the microwave cavity from overheating and sparking caused by food splashes. A cost-effective, DIY-friendly solution trusted by hundreds of users to extend microwave lifespan and avoid costly repairs. ## Description Sheet of wave guide cover material for all brands of microwave ovens. This mica sheet is usually found inside the cavity on the right wall or upper wall of the oven cavity. It covers the entry point that the microwaves enter the oven cavity. Fat and food splashes that gather on the cover over time cause the cover to overheat, burn and become soft. This can lead to sparking around the wave guide cover during the microwave cooking cycle. If this is not dealt with it can lead to the cavity being burnt as well. It is important to regularly inspect your wave guide cover for burn marks and replace as necessary. The sheet supplied is 150mm x 100mm which should be big enough for most domestic ovens. The idea is that you cut and trim this sheet to the size of your original cover. The material is easy to cut with a sharp knife or scissors. No special tools are required. If your old cover has a screw hole in it then a leather punch can be useful to make the hole. Otherwise the point of a screwdriver can be used to make the hole. Purchasing a universal sheet like this is often the easist option to obtaining an original cover as the originals can be expensive and in some cases difficult to source especially with all the strange brand names sold by supermarkets etc. ## Features - Universal Mica Wave Guide Cover - Save Money & Repair Your Own Microwave Oven - Cut This Sheet To Size - Dimensions: 150mm x 100mm - Fits Most Microwave Ovens ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00F0SJXLY | | Best Sellers Rank | 306,180 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 90 in Microwave Replacement Parts | | Brand | TheOneStopSatShop | | Colour | Brown | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (832) | | Date First Available | 6 Sept. 2013 | | Guaranteed software updates until | unknown | | Item Weight | 50 kg | | Model Number | MICA150X100 | ## Images ![Microwave Oven Universal Mica Wave Guide Cover Sheet 150mm x 100mm, Cut To Size - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91CIaSWrt1L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Hi, does this item fit a tesco brand microwave. It has two flaps on each side which slot in but not shown in your pic. Does it have these? Thnx** A: Hi, yes you cut thisito shape with a knife or scissors. Use your old one as a template. Mine has 2 slots in the metal frame of the microwave, I cut this to shape with to and slot it in no problem. ..quick and easy. At tge cost you have nothing to loseYou can cut thus to any shape so is ideal **Q: Ive just drilled a 3mm hole through top of micro wave and punched through the inner casing.will this stop the waves leaking and what do i use to stick** A: The inside of a microwave oven is metal. This panel allows microwaves to pass through from the emitter, while protecting it from heat and moisture. If you have created a breach between the inner and outer casing, your safest course is to cut off the cable and dispose of the oven properly. **Q: My Google search was for "how to block microwaves" and this product came up in first place - However it seems this fabric does the opposite?** A: The product goes in the oven to cover/replace the plate that all microwaves have in the side wall. Quite what its function is I am not sure, but the firm were very helpful when I rang to explain that what I had actually wanted was a splatter guard to put over dishes in the microwave oven and I would suggest that you contact them. **Q: Can this also be used over burning charcoal to warm rather than burn incense?** A: I would say no. It’s more like a piece of card that fits, when cut to size, in slots in a microwave oven. ## Frequently Bought Together - Microwave Oven Universal Mica Wave Guide Cover Sheet 150mm x 100mm, Cut To Size - 5 PCS Microwave Waveguide Cover Mica Slice, Universal Mica Sheet for Microwave Oven Parts Replacement Heat Insulation Accessories, Waveguide Cover for Frigidaire - 5Pcs Microwave Oven Mica Plate Sheet Microwave Waveguide Cover Replacement Repairing Accessory for Kitchen Microwave Oven --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/48726514-microwave-oven-universal-mica-wave-guide-cover-sheet-150mm-x](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/48726514-microwave-oven-universal-mica-wave-guide-cover-sheet-150mm-x) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
