Fascinating, detailed overview of a range of German U Boats. Well worth reading.

I've been buying a lot of these Haynes "Owner's Workshop Manual" recently. They are an excellent reference item when building model kits and easy to read as a stand alone book. They follow a standard format- history, variants, Use and Maintenance. The books are usually written by former user/experts and are always very informative. Also, the quality of photos and illustrations are second to none, often showing the unseen/hard to get to areas. Haynes are onto a winner with these, as they are an excellent addition to a reference library. Currently using this as a reference guide while building a 1:72 Revell U-boat - Highly recommended companion !

A nice addition to any collection concerning U-boots. It has lot of information about the Kreigsmarine and the War in the Atlantic WWII and uses very detailed photographs taken inside and outside U995 which is based at Laboe - the War memorial near Kiel, in northern Germany. Full of technical information and describes life and work aboard a serving U-boot very well and I am sure anybody with an interest in this topic will be pleased to collect it!

ok as a general reference book, but nothing really special. Many of the Photo's can be found on the internet very easily. There are better appreciations out there.

This was a gift for a friend and U-Boat fanatic; he loved it.

This book is a great title. It was my first book on u boats I owned and I gotta say it was a heavy hitter. I learned about the toilet. The quarters and u boat tactics 10/10 would recommend
