pretty smart little toy. seems to get itself out of trouble easily.
This thing is pretty neat. Its the size of a golf ball. It will bounce in an attempt to get unstuck which seems to be pretty successful in doing so. I bought this to curb my Cat's laser pointer habit. He wants the laser pointer 24/7. This seems occupy his mind. He does bat it around a little, but mostly likes to sit and watch it move around the floor. The one thing that I wish wouldn't happen is its ability to pick up hair and dirt. Hair will cling to this thing like no other. It is easy to remove, but boy does it get covered with hair. This little ball finds its way into every corner and place that hair would normally accumulate. I would also recommend keeping tabs on it and not letting the battery run all the way down. It might be a while until you find it if you don't pay attention to where it is going. If it gets stuck under furniture you can usually hear it trying to free itself, but if you ignore it and forget where it was, then depending on your environment, you may find yourself looking for it for a while. I would recommend this as a cat toy. Just keep in mind that it does bounce randomly and that may frighten your cat if they are the nervous type. With that in mind I would recommend introducing it to them in a long flat surface that is free of obstacles. If it hits a wall or gets stuck it will try to change directions a few times, then bounce. I would grab it and set it on its way before it bounces to avoid fear in the beginning. Once they get used to it, bouncing will be part of the fun.

Cat loves it
I have two cats. The older one doesn’t really play unless it’s with the laser pointer or with his brother, the younger cat I have plays all the time. This is probably one of the better toys we’ve gotten him. He likes the coloured lights especially. Though I wish there was a rolling only mode, he seems to be just fine with the bouncing. However, my older cat wants absolutely nothing to do with the ball which is understandable. It’s a noisy little thing and the whole house can hear when the cat plays with it. Battery life is great. He’s usually tired before it runs out. It’s a cool toy and we all had a good laugh watching my cat play with it.

Runs for hours, but can be noisy on hardwood.
Our cats are the type to demand attention so that they can ignore it once it's given. We've been trying to find more options for toys that they can engage with on their own terms, and this has definitely been one of the better options we've found so far. The ball can move quite a bit. They were a little apprehensive about it at first, but once they got used to the sounds it makes they started to play with it more. The ball has a few different "modes" you can put it in, but to be honest I couldn't tell much of a difference while clicking through them. The instructions give you a guide on what the different colors of lights mean while clicking but we typically just turn it on and let it go. On hardwood, when it is in reactive mode, it can start bouncing itself and get a little loud but it's fine on carpet. The ball will typically just roll itself around and eventually get stuck on something, kind of like a robot vacuum with less intelligence. Our cats end up playing with it the most when it's stuck on something and make noise though so that works out great for us. If you can catch it on one of its sales, it is definitely worth a shot.

Better than most
I will say this ball is better than most in terms of size and texture. The first issue is the modes. We could make no distinction, every mode seems to be super high speed with bouncing which tends to scare the cats, especially on hardwood floors. I had better luck on a carpet, but it would still be great if it could JUST roll instead of bouncing. The charge doesn’t last very long and it’s really easy to lose track of. Finally, after a year of little use, it has stopped working. The ball holds a charge and lights up, but nothing else happens and I can’t switch between modes. For the price it’s definitely not worth it, but if you could get it on sale I would say give it a shot!

Zero quality. Zero support. Beware.
I don’t like writing bad reviews. I always try to contact the seller before to let them know and give them a chance to solve it. Up to today I have no answer from the seller/brand, even after contacting them via Amazon and receiving a feedback form and saying again I had no answer. Amazon also understand it is time enough if you care and guarantee the quality of the item you’re selling. So, I decided to buy this one over the many other similar options because I believed price was a minimum guarantee of quality. Don’t fall for that! I hoped it would last at least a couple of months. It lasted 5 minutes. REALLY! I didn’t even finish reading the manual and the fabric started coming off. Another 5 minutes and one whole side came off and now it does not roll anymore because it is a hard plastic underneath. USD35 for an item that came apart in minutes with no support is a rip off! Rather stick with the USD 5 that will at least deliver more than a couple of minutes of playtime.

This is amazing!!
I had to get something to help stimulate my cat's mind, and this thing is freaking awesome! He is super interested in it, and it plays with him, and turns on by itself. I do have to say, the red setting (it has three settings) is pretty intense and scared me for a quick second, but I let it just roll itself around and Bones follows it and bats at it. I got this with a $10 coupon, but honestly, it's totally worth it for the full price! I got the green one, the bell was a little bit tricky to get on, but not to big of a deal. It charges through USB, so I just plugged it into my computer before we used it for the first time, and after about 10 minutes it was ready to ROLL!

Switch broke, can't turn on anymore
Fun toy for kitties and grown cats too! But the little switch to turn it on/off has failed! Was great while it lasted.

Designated play area toy
Super quiet, small and cats love it. Disappeared within 5 minutes. Took a month to find behind the washer. Charge it and find a place they cant loose it in and watch them play.
