Yes it can. This is a very versatile tool which I have used to remove grout, cut through ceilings to fit new lights, cut holes for sockets in walls, cut hidden nails in fence panels. I bought this new model as a present for my brother in law who is a builder/joiner who kept on borrowing mine to finish off his new bathroom!

Can you buy a dust extractor for this item?

Hello, Thank you for the query. Unfortunately the PMF 220 CE does not have a dust extraction port. The PMF 250 CES and PMF 350 CES however are both compatible with a dust extraction adapter to be used when sanding which can be found using part number 2 609 256 D57. Do you ever unable to remove the blade from the bolt?

Yes, it’s held in place with a tailored made clamp, and an Alan keyed bolt. It’s a brilliant tool with a host of changeable blades. I bought one for a carpenter friend of mine after I loaned him mine and he described it as “ a wonderful tool” so I brought him his own. 👍🤓
