Tymbark Cactus Drink 1 Litre (Pack of 12)

I first found this product in the international foods aisle of a local branch of a big national supermarket chain. My curiosity piqued, I bought a carton, tried it, and loved it. So I started buying it like it was going out of fashion. Within two weeks, the big national supermarket chain cut back the international foods section in our branch and this was (natrually) one of the items to be discontinued. Not even the numerous Polish shops in our area carry this particular Tymbark juice product. Fortunately, Amazon came to the rescue!Some desert succulents have the interesting property of sorting out your digestive health; this is excellent news for those who suffer from IBS or indigestion. Aloe vera juice works adequately but can be expensive, hard to come by, or vary wildly in quality, and also tastes like industrial-strength liquid soap mixed with vegetable juice. A large bottle of tequila, taken a half-shot at a time, will last a whole month, but it's strong stuff, and it's useless if you can't take alcohol for medical or religious reasons. Which leaves prickly pear cactus as your best bet for soothing your innards.This juice drink, made with mostly water and apple juice, has 1% lime juice and 1% cactus fruit juice in it, and that 1% is just enough cactus to help sort out your digestion if you drink a glass or two a day. The more dark green cactus pulp floating around in your glass, the better the efficacy. And unlike orange juice pulp, the cactus pulp is so soft, you probably won't even notice it while you drink. In fact, if you give the carton a good enough shake, the pulp will disintegrate completely and you're left with just slightly thicker juice.Highly recommended for those who like juice, and/or have delicate digestion.19/1/2015 ADDENDUM: One of my Polish co-workers introduced me to a nice cocktail that can be made from this drink. Take one or two shots of your favourite gin, a squeeze of lemon juice, and top up with Tymbark Cactus. Delicious. Thanks, Magda!

great, I first tried the cactus juice when Tesco's had it in the one time and I thought it was very nice and I was not able to get it anywhere until I went this year upto Banbury Tesco's and they had the 2litre size so I got two of them, the cactus and the raspberry mix juice. and I can't get that anywhere even on line. the litre size yes, but not the 2litre size. very strange.

Would give a 5/5 if the opening was in the corner and not in the middle. Overall a very nice product.

Not entirely sure what kind of review can be done here. I knew i loved Tymbark Cactus before i bought it. It's just hard to find in shops where we live. It's a most unusual flavour - but perhaps an acquired taste. I recommend buying just the one carton before purchasing this pack of 12.Goes well with Mexican food!

It's basically half apple juice with sugar...

Cactus tastes great and a pack of 12 was something we couldnt turn down...got a few friends hooked on it alsoHeartbroken when it stopped being available on Amazon

Purchased for school as the children have been learning about Mexico. The adults loved it as did many of the children! It has a smooth consistency and a fruity taste.
