what's the area covered by this bean bag? it says to allow 1 sq meter of space but is it really 100 sq meter? what are the dimensions?

It is 1sq meter, 100sq meters would be bigger than your house.

Do these bean bags have a zip to replace or re-fill if need be?

Mine did not come with a separate inner bag. The closure does have two zips though.

What material is think made from? Is it cotton like or plastic like

It is a cotton material which has been waterproofed. Quite soft to touch much like a waterproof coat.
