Can one buy replacement griddles for this?

Hello, Stephen. Bottom line: No; the griddle plates cannot be replaced. I looked through the manual, no griddle plates as a separate part. Before telling you "it doesn't look like it" and leaving your question unanswered, I called Waring. The Waring Rep, Karen, told me: "There is no way to replace the griddle plates 'at this time'". Not even if you send the machine in to them. Lastly, at he end of the call Karen added, "Be sure to always add a nonstick cooking oil to the griddles between each waffle".

is this easy to clean?

Yes! Nothing sticks to the ‘cooking surface’.

The does the maker have temperature control, or just "browning control" (aka time spent cooking)?

I think it has one control for temperature .

Amazing!

Makes awesome waffles, don’t use non-stick spray like it says too, it makes them soft in some places. Waffles won’t stick even without the spray.

Seller is horrible on defective products

Spent almost $700 for a defective product and seller is unreasonable about replacing it. I will never buy from this seller again. Sending me on a wild goose chase to get my money back.....never again

It’s easy

It is easy. The buster tells you when they are done and it cooks them to perfection.

Didn’t last

Bought in March 2019…failed in 2021. Waring answer is out of warranty and no repair facility within 100 miles. An appliance that costs $500 and is only used occasionally should surely last more than 27 months. Wont buy or recommend.
