This Head is a perfect replacement for the dented Head on my SM58 wireless microphone as can be seen in the photograph. I can't tell any difference in the audio quality between the two Heads and only when comparing them side by side can I see that this replacement Head has a very slight sheen to it compared to the original, though this may dull down over time and use and isn't a problem at all. A quick service from Dangleberry again too.

I was given an old battered Shure SM-58 but the foam inside the mesh had degraded over time and the mesh showed signs of oxidisation. The mic works fine and now looks almost new (but it was well gigged!) Great fix for home studio!

Best thing? It fits! Having washed the old SM58 head to discover the interior foam dissolved this seemed just the thing... Very good value for money. If I was still touring it would be worth keeping a couple on the gig bag...

Bought this Replacement Microphone Mesh Head for my Shure SM58 and it fits and looks perfect, gives my well used Microphone a new lease of life as the old head was well batterd. Time will tell if I get as good a life with the new head as the old.

I got this to replace the head on my SM58. It's alright, but I can't help feeling that the thread pitch on the head is slightly out. It was a tight fit and doesn't screw all the way to the shoulder on the mic. It does do the job, but I thought it would just slip into place and not have a couple of mm of thread showing. Still, the mic works and looks a damn site better than it did...

The 2nd pic obviously shows the old mesh head after more than 20 years of abuse.. but I'm very happy with my recent purchase and I'll make sure it doesn't get 'mic dropped' in the future.
