Disappointed! Very nice quality but does not fit together, the front panel will not sit flush creating a gap and the panel falling off. Fitted many a light switch and never experienced this before!

Poor lacquer on front plates, wich can be scraped with the finger
After 3 months the switchers began changing up the color near the button, i discovered that the front panel is coated with a transparent lacquer which can be scraped with the finger. Now i have to clean the whole plate to have it smooth, but it doesn't look as new allready.

rubbish coating
Cleaned it carefully with dry cloth...coating goes, this is how it looked after 2 years, replaced. Have several and all lost their coating, a waste of money....

Well manufactured, smart looking and very easy to install

Good switches, but coating has started to peel off
Purchased 4 of these. Feels good quality, easy to install. 3 have been fine, however one switch is already loosing its protective coating above and below the switch itself. a little disappointing. See photo.

Veneer/lacquer peels eventually
I installed this single gang screw less faced light switch a few years ago. Looked smart. Works perfectly. Nice click to it. Alas recently i've noticed there is a some sort of lacquer or veneer that's peeling off the surface (see photo). Still looks ok, and works, but now I need to try to get all the lacquer off otherwise it looks like it's dirty. Next time I'll stick to the screw faced ones which aren't suffering from the same deterioration.

not happy
the screws that fix the wires are pointed so make it really difficult to hold the wires in. also, the screws that come with this to fix the switch plate to the box, are too long for the box that's inserted into the old victorian wall i'm trying to put the new switch on. this knightsbridge switch is probably only suited for new builds or if you're going to put a new box in too. feeling quite irate about this at the moment as I've wasted an hour and have had to put the old switch back on.
