Thule Caravan, Motorhome Leveling Ramps with Storage Bag

Well, I actually bought these to use as car ramps for doing minor work that involves removing the plastic engine under-tray. They are just high enough for that, although because they are rather short in length, the vehicle would probably tend to roll back down them if it were not for the handbrake, the wheel chocks and the car being left in gear!I didn't want traditional steel welded car ramps, partly because they are too big and bulky for me to store, and partly because they always make me nervous. (What if you had a bad weld under the paint? The first you'd know about it would be a sudden collapse.) These plastic ramps are very, very solid and inspire total confidence. Also, they are easy and clean to store away in the excellent bag, which also has a pocket for storing a pair of wheel checks.In fact, it was only after I bought them that I noticed the instructions do say "Do not go underneath the vehicle when supported on these ramps," but then they also say they are capable of safely supporting 5 tonnes per pair, so I'm not worried about supporting a normal car with it's maximum of 1 tonne per axle. (I guess they say that - about not going under the vehicle - in case they are used on soft ground with a ten tonne vehicle and slip out of position. Or maybe it's a legal thing and they haven't been officially approved as 'car ramps'. In any case I am a super-cautious person and I always think carefully before using something for a purpose for which it was not intended, but having thought carefully I feel totally safe using them as occasional car ramps.) A good product at a good price whatever you use them for.

As expected, great quality leveling ramps. Come in a good quality storage bag & they fit in there nice and snuggly. Easy to use with my car & an essential if you are roof tent camping, made the mistake of not having these and found ourselves sliding down the bed! Not anymore with these!

Our Autotrail F72 tyres are a bit too wide I think.The ramps tilt upwards if driven to the top height, so I only drive up to the second height.They seem strong enough.

I've had several sets of levelling ramps from different manufacturers, but these are the best I've owned so far. The set that I received in the 'welcome pack' with my current motorhome were far too narrow and, on occasions, too low to get the motorhome properly level. As they were just a wedge of plastic, the handbrake had to be on pretty firmly to prevent rolling back off the ramps. This is an issue for me, as I have to release the handbrake to rotate the front seats!These Thule ramps are so much better by design. They are slightly wider than the tyres on my Motorhome and have three distinct stepped levels. As I drive up the ramps, I can feel each step, so I know exactly how far up I've gone - no chance of running off the end with these. Each step is flat, which means that there is far less strain on the handbrake when parked up and I can swivel the seats by just slipping the van in gear. They seem to be well made and after a few months use, they still look as good as new.The icing on the cake is the carry bag that they're supplied with. This is a long review for a couple of moulded pieces of plastic, but if you're in the market for a set of levelling ramps, I thoroughly recommend you take a look at some of these.

Our old ones broken so really good replacement good quality worth the money

easy to use - even for a novice like me. you will need a spirit level in the van but then just reverse onto these for a level camper !I bought a pair of standard wheel chocks as well to secure the front wheels to prevent the van rolling forward once the back was raised on these levellers

Haben nach langer Überlegung diesen Artikel gekauft, da das Angebot diesbezüglich sehr umfangreich ist, und es nicht bereut. Praxistest bestanden mit der Note sehr gut. Langlebigkeit kann noch nicht beschrieben werden, da wir die Auffahrkeile nun erst in einem kurzen Zeitraum mehrfach genutzt haben. Bisher keine Mängel wie z.B. Risse, Verformungen etc. festgestellt. Zur Sicherheit immer eine 2-3mm starke Gummimatte drunter gelegt. Passt perfekt!!!
