Maisy's Wonderful Weather Book: Pull the tabs and turn the wheels to experience snow, sun, rain and wind with Maisy!

My grandsons loved it. No more to say.

The pop ups are very intricate and given that it’s a book for those aged 1-3 they are too fiddly and easily broken for this age group. Nice pictures but not ideal overall.

My daughter loves Maisy and friends and would choose to have this book read to her every night. On each page there are different weather scenes with movable flaps and sections that are great for little fingers to play with (under guidance). Some of the moveable parts have now been pulled too strongly,but have been repaired! The vibrant colours are great for small children and sound effects my husband makes whilst reading this, has added to the fun my daughter has with the book.

Totally agree with the previous reviewer - I bought the book anyway because my 18 month daughter is very into rain following this summer's miserable weather and is obsessed with Maisy. The book is lovely, with different interactive items on each page (wheels to turn, and tabs to pull) and it's lovely and colourful. However, the pages are paper not card, and she basically destroyed it in two sittings. It is now held together with sellotape and needs reinforcing with strips of card as all the tabs are bent. I think that the book is too basic to be of interest to a child who is old enough to handle it correctly. The "Busy Town" book we have is a million miles more suited to purpose. If your child still like picture books with about one line of text per page and is nimble-fingered enough to gently pull on a paper tab, then this book is fab. Otherwise, I still love the book, but buyer beware!

A bit fragile

Lovely book but not suitable for 2 year old - the parts don't move very easily and ours was pulled apart within a couple of weeks.

This book is ok - the arrows are quite hard for a toddler to pull and although it goes through the different seasons, it isn't that great

When the book arrived it looked lovely but sadly after a couple of days it was totally destroyed! The pages are very delicate and my toddler oulled a little too hard on some of the tabs.

Wonderful, well designed, well thought out, children's book. VERY educational PLUS offers the opportunity for quality time between parent or grandparent and child! I recommend this one over "Maisy's Castle," also by Lucy Cousins. I felt that the Castle book would be destroyed too easily and that the subject matter is not as educational as a book about weather. The fun and learning starts with the cover of the book. In the ad image, do you see the SUN near the tip of Maisy's nose? There is a wheel on the right edge of the cover. Move the wheel and the sun is replaced, in turn, by virtually every common weather phenomenon: rain, snow, etc. Each page spread offers some pop-up or other interactive movement and the opportunity to explore weather with your child or grandchild.

My little one gets extremely excited for any book from the Maisy series but especially this one. He's quite young so I'm pretty sure he doesnt quite understand whats happening, but nevertheless the series of images are very fascinating to him. Seems like the perfect book to introduce your kid to the seasons. This book will definitely grow with my boy who is currently 7 months and I'm sure there will be new things for him to discover as he grows up with it.

Baby is 15 months old, so we haven't shown her this one yet - she's just learning to be reliably gentle with flaps, and this is a lot more complicated than flaps! But when my husband and I reviewed it for our bedtime story we were both surprisingly delighted by our first pull tab Maisy book. There's no narrative story, but it would be wonderful to look at with a child who is beginning to be interested in the different seasons and different basic types of weather.
