Overall I would recommend this if it fits your faucet. It fit like new and after I had it installed I tested it for leaks and then put the lever on and test it again and no hot water. Hot water was on the right and cold water was on the left so it was backwards. After scratching around on the interweb I found that you have to turn the water back off and pull the staple that holds it in place, and using the Moen tool the little plastic piece that came with it rotate it 180°. Put everything back together and hot water is now on the left and cold water on the right. Never ran into this issue before changing the cartridge on this faucet three times already in the last 20 years. It was a real head scratcher so if you run into that problem. I also put a little bit of plumbers lube on it the clear one that's made for faucets. Overall replacement was fairly simple. To pull the old one out you can use vice grips or the moen tool with the t handle and screw in the middle and pull it out that way. Also you have to rotate the cartridge 90° before it'll come out just look how the tabs are aligned. If you use the moen t handle tool you have to unscrew the screw in the middle of the tool most of the way out then put it on the cartridge set it on the tabs correctly and then screw the screw in the middle down until it bites into the cartridge you don't have to screw it all the way down just get a good hold on it and rotate the cartridge 90°, pull it straight up. Or out if you're working on a shower. What's great is there's two in this pack so that should take care of the next 20 years. Good luck and have a great day!

You should really pull the original and make sure that it's the same. Plus maybe keep the lock pin because the shape might not be the same and mess up the install.

These cartridges are better than the OEM cartridge and they are 25% of the price. I bought a Moen brand cartridge and it didn’t solve my problem. These cartridges did and they work better than the OEM Moen cartridges. I am thrilled with how well my shower worked.

Originally replaced my old cartridge with a different aftermarket cartridge which did not work out well. Used this cartridge in the end and was a much better outcome. You definitely want the Moen style removal tool whether it is the original Moen tool or the aftermarket tool...a must to remove your old cartridge. Can definitely recommend this cartridge, great price, easy to install and works very well......Thanks!

I bought a 2 pack so I would have a spare but only one of them actually worked. The first one would not stop a trickle of water from coming out when closed. The second one worked fine. Fired disappointed that I overpaid for what is really just one of them since one didn’t work right.
