Ideal for domestic garage and shed.I brought a second set
This is the second set of these 3 packs I have now purchased, one set has gone in my garage and the second in my "man cave" in the garden. As I brought a second set you'll not be surprised to hear I am quite pleased with them. I particularly wanted the extra depth offerred by the 600mm version which gives so much extra storage space, turning a rather cluttered space (particularly the man cave) into a reasonably neat and tidy area. When the first set of 3 was assemble, I had help, the second set I did on my own, so it is possible to put together on your own, but it is significantly easier with two, particularly at the initial stages of assembly, when everything appears very flimsy, so much so that I had serious doubts that the framework, let alone the actual shelves would be up to the job. Fortunately when you persevere and get the framework done, shelves inserted and bolted to the wall it is quite firm and solid, and more than capable of support a fair bit of weight. That being said, the frames are reletively soft metal and can very easily get bent out of shape, but on the plus side, if they are easily bent out of shape, its just as easy to bend them back in. The point is, these are not suitable for heavy duty warehouse use, but for standard indoor domestic work it copes very well, and takes a decent weight without issues as the large shelves do have a central support for stability and weight distribution.Shelf heights are viaiable as required, and by the time I got to the last of the six bays I've put together I was pretty good at it, and could "knock one out" in 15 minutes although this would have been less with two people. The first few however took considerably longer, not because the assembly process is complicated, but because I thought everything would simply slot in without issue but it does not. Invariable you need to widen slots and guide the tabs on the shelf struts into the slots on the uprights. This becomes a bit of a balancing act when you're trying to put the bays together on your own, but if you bend the tabs slightly inwards and widen the slots on the uprights before assembly it goes together much more easily. A quick tap into place with a rubber mallet and all is secure. Word of warning however, if you assemble a full bay and then try to move it by picking it up holding onto the uprights above waist level, the top half will immediately come apart as the upright join doesnt lock the two halves together and on our early attempts our assembly work was ruined before we realised this. The supplied mdf shelving looked thin, but has been up to the job, and seems quite strong once everything is bolted together. If you use these shelves for their intended domestic purpose and don't want to load them up with very heavy item, or use then as a climbing frame they very good, hence I brought a second set a few months after the first. Good customer service from the supplier as well, who amended delivery date and destination even after I got an email from Amazon saying the the date and time was set and could no longer be changed.

Good value for money; excellent service
For the money, this was a good product. The metalwork was properly deburred and the paint finish good (although it is probably impossible to avoid some scratching during assembly!) After service was excellent: shelves had got damaged and replacements were delivered the next day. All racks are basically space frame structures so are only really stable once they are all together. To minimise cost the metal members are comparatively thin and so can flex rather alarmingly, especially before the first horizontal layer is complete, but nothing broke or snapped off. Some suggestions based upon my personal experience: Although the vertical members are symmetric with respect to the fittings into which the shelf supports slot this is not true for the circular holes so if you want to bolt racks together or against a batten on the wall – or just use them as references to make sure the shelves are put in at the same height on all four corners - make sure they are all round the same way Build the unit as close as possible to its final destination and if you have to lift it do so as little as possible via the lower vertical members or it will come apart. Use a screwdriver to open up the holes before fitting the shelf supports in and to help guide the lugs into place on assembly. The foot pads don’t really attach so best put on bottom after lower half of rack is complete and before starting on the top half. The circular holes are just less than 6mm in diameter so 5mm screws work well to bolt racks together or fix to wall. For the latter I bolted the shelving using a metal washer behind the screw head to distribute the load and a couple of ¾-inch rubber tap washers to space the frames just off the brick wall. These washers come with a conveniently sized hole; if you are lucky they will grip the screws and not try to fall off! My compliments to anyone who can get a rack together on their own in less than an hour or two.

Good product when pieces aren't bent out of place
I bought these units to go in my garage to try and tidy it up and make better use of the space. These are tall and sturdy in a garage that isn't flat. They are easy to assemble, i did these but myself with no issue. Lining up the horizontal bars to get into the slots can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, but nothing too taxing. If you are going to move these once you have assembled them full height, make sure you grab the bottom half otherwise they can come out of the slots. What stopped me giving this a 5 star was 2 of the packs had clearly been opened and used (more likely someone tried to assemble and couldn't). These are going in the garage so i don't mind too much, as long as i can still assemble the unit. Unfortunately some of the items in one of the boxes were bent so much that there was no way i was going to be able to get them back into place to make it useable. I emailed customer service and i have to say they were excellent. They organised a day that was suitable to me to have a new one delivered and the faulty one taken away, which was the next day of contacting them. Although the replacement was also slightly damaged, i managed to put it back into its original form to be able to build the unit. In short, i would recommend them and happy with the purchase and what it has done for my garage.

Excellent product
Easy to assemble and sturdy. The shelves are very spacious so can fit a lot of stuff in your storage. The shelves are interchangable so gives you lots of room to assemble it according to your needs. The shelves are light weight so I was skeptical if it can hold the weight it promises. But I am very happy with it, as it holds so much weight. Even though it is light weight, once assemble properly it is not wobbbly at all. We have stored so much stuff on the shelf and it has been holding very well. I have one in the garage and there was water damage, the shelves got wet and mouldy but they are still intact which surprised us. We put them in the sun to dry it and cleaned them, they are still working great.

Good; I would buy again (4.7/5 stars)
So much more storage than the similar standard size shelves which I was retiring from service; has transformed my garage. Nice and sturdy once assembled, although be careful not to bend the brackets when assembling the four verticals. A slightly disappointing point is the feet - hard to fit/don't stay on securely, so fit in situ once shelves assembled and have been moved to their final location to allow the weight of the shelves to keep them in place. As with other boltless shelving products of this sort, it can be slightly fiddly to get the metal tabs in through both slots (teamwork is helpful here with one person handling the fitting, and one person poking the tab to micro-adjust as they slide into the slot, if required) Nice to be able to choose the shelf spacing during assembly to tailor for whatever you are storing. Not too hard to assemble if there are two of you (screwdriver, rubber mallet needed; large pliers handy but not necessarily required). You probably could solo assemble but it would definitely be trickier, especially at the start. Over all, a decent product; very pleased. I would buy again.

Happy with the garage shelving units
My order for the garage shelving units arrived impressively quickly the next day after placing the order. The contents were correct and undamaged. I would say I’m a bit of a hesitant DIYer and would not tackle anything too complicated, however I found putting the units together well within my capabilities. They are fairly easy to erect, you just need to give yourself sufficient time and not try to rush the job. After completing the first unit the second and third were then easy to do. I did find the MDF boards for the shelves were just a touch too big to fit properly within the frames and I needed to trim 1 or 2 mm off one or two edges of them. This wasn’t a problem however as being MDF it was very easy to trim them with a saw. I’m happy with the finished product, the units seem to be sturdy enough and meet my requirements well for organising the garage.

Spacious shelving
I needed a large amount of relatively inexpensive shelving space for my tool shed and this does the job nicely. In practical terms it's strong enough to hold lots of heavy tool boxes, power tools, cabling, etc. The frame is made of grey painted/coated pressed mild steel which is reasonably well finished off with no obvious sharp edges. I've had boltless type units before and the assembly is straightforward. The instructions are clear/well written and mention that you may need (when connecting the side beams to the uprights) a screwdriver to guide the tabs into place. I certainly found this to be the case and ended up slightly opening up each slot and then closing them up after fitting the beams. It's worth highlighting that the instructions also recommend the units are fixed to a wall for safety. I usually do this with shelving anyway and certainly would do so with these units which can take a lot of vertical weight but are easy to sway if leaned on. A bit of fiddling to assemble but pleased with finished result.

Just excellent
I don’t like putting together these type of units and I had some trepidation about buying these. When I initially started then first unit I thought that all my misgivings were well placed. However, once the first stages are completed and there is a platform to work from the process becomes easier. By the time I began the second unit my concerns had gone and the unit was put together in half of the time that the first unit required. The third unit was a doddle. This resulted in a really solid and spacious storage unit for my garage. Some points for anyone purchasing this item. The first stage of construction is best carried out with two people; one to hold the upright sections while the other ‘assembles’. Next, make sure that you have plenty of space in which to assemble, this will help with the construction. Overall the delivery service was excellent, the item is excellent and I would recommend this supplier for the provision of the unit and their follow up service.
