Will this reduce the output over the 2 out signals? I have one "out" connected to a 10m optical lead but no sound (the lead is fine). How do I solve?

I tried out this by splitting optical 'out' on my Cd player to 2 separate DACS. I could only get sound on one Dac. Both leads were only a metre long. Tried individually, no problem sound on each single optical. Cant figure, I'm afraid, why splitter claims it will carry 2 signals. If u get a solution, please post. There may be some loss over 10metres however.Karl.

One device uses an optical plug c/w plastic outer, the other a metal outer. Only plastic one works - is there a solution? Without replacing metal one?

It should not matter I have both plastic and metal plugged in to the one I have and it works fine sounds more like a faulty cable.

Can it split output to use soundbar and for me tv headphones at same time as i can't hear well and need tv louder than suits husband

I don't know about that mate the one which I received was faulty I needed it to go from TV to sound bar and surround sound system I had to get something different
