This is a Pasta NON Rolling pin - its really really BAD. It does not work and is a complete waste.

Rubbish, doesn’t cut through the pasta, ended up as firewood!

I wish I had read the Amazon.com reviews before buying this, the roller left score marks across the pasta sheet but failed to cut it into strips and that was on the thinnest rolled sheet. Waste of money!

Ho acquistato questo matterello per spaghetti che confrontato con altri venditori compresa la spedizione prime il costo era meno della metà. Il prodotto è arrivato nei tempi prestabiliti dal venditore e super imballato: scatola originale matterello avvolto da cartonato rigido accolto da sacchetto di plastica, forse eccessivo imballo ma essendo in legno forse temevano si scheggiasse in un urto accidentale del corriere. La dimensione non è grande ma rispecchia più o meno le dimensioni delle macchine da sfoglia inoltre se fosse più largo bisognerebbe imprimere maggior forza avendo una superficie maggiore. Per quanto riguarda del formato finale dello spaghetto posso dire che viene uno spaghetto triangolare dovuta alla scanalatura a V. Utilizzo è facile e da soddisfazione bisogna non fare una pasta ne troppo morbida ne dura o asciutta eccessivamente. Lo consiglio a chi ha voglia di fare e non accontentarsi dei soliti spaghetti confezionati.

Takes a little bit of effort to make sure you've cut all the way through. It would be much easier to use if the handles rotated separately from the pin.

This was exactly what I needed to make homemade tagliatelle or fettuccine. I use a fairly soft egg dough, so the ridges score the pasta threads and I can gently pull them apart to dry a bit before cooking. I brush off and shake off excess from the roller rather than washing and that seems to work perfectly well. The ridges are smooth and needed no sanding as some others have indicated. Good and sturdy and does the job as is. Nice hard grained wood and also rather cute:-)

麺棒の表面が谷と山になっているが、 山の頂点が刃になっていない。 そもそも木材だからこれが限界なのかもしれないが、さすがに切れるような鋭さはなく、平面になっているので、この山の部分では生地を押しつぶすことしかできない。 強く押しつけて切れたとしても切断面は押しつぶされた形になるので麺には不適切。また、切れたら切れたで、麺は全て溝にピッタリはまって綺麗に取り出すことは不可能。 これはどうしようもない商品と思います。
