## Description

Product Description Cuprinol Wood Preserver Clear (BP) is a colourless general-purpose preserver for interior or exterior use. It gives deep penetrating protection to sound wood against decay, mould and blue-staining fungi. This low odour formula has been specially developed with low aromatic solvents to make it more pleasant and convenient to use. Solvent based. Apply with Brush. Cleaning up: Remove as much product as possible from the brush before cleaning with brush cleaner. Directions Actively prevents rot and decay. For both interior and exterior use. Use as a basecoat before painting, staining or varnishing. Apply 1-2 coats, covering up to 5m2 per litre. Drying time: 1-5 days depending upon the surface and weather conditions. Review: Expensive but highly rated product. - I decided to spray this on to full sized, horizontally slatted fence panels with a decorative latticed curved top. The first side took 1.6 litres, one can covered 5 sides after adjusting nozzle pattern and flow. It’s expensive stuff, not quite sure why, but anyway, it’s very highly rated and the fence panels were expensive, so worthy of a couple of coats. It’s a very thin consistency and rapidly soaks into the wood so I think spraying is the most economical and best option. One panel takes about 2 minutes to spray! I bought a 400W Von Haus Spray Gun off desertcart, a really good bit of kit, and very easy to use. Ordinary white spirit will clean the gun after use.
Review: Nice natural finish - I sanded my really grotty-looking shed back to fresh(ish) pine and then applied this in two coats to stop it discolouring in future. I don’t know if it will work, but my shed looks natural instead of dyed and I can see the woodgrain better for the preservative. I needed double the amount I thought I would, but I am very happy with the look. The product (clear) makes only a very small difference to the woods appearance so don’t use it if you don’t already like the look of your shed or whatever. (I gave 5 stars for its water resistance and value for money qualities but I have no idea really. It is easy to use however (my shed was bone dry) and doesn’t smell of much.)

It’s expensive stuff, not quite sure why, but anyway, it’s very highly rated and the fence panels were expensive, so worthy of a couple of coats. It’s a very thin consistency and rapidly soaks into the wood so I think spraying is the most economical and best option. One panel takes about 2 minutes to spray!
