Not convinced .......................
I bought this book as a birthday present and was disappointed in it. It's listed as having only 60 pages but readers should be aware that it has even less than that. It has a LOT of blank pages in it. For example at the end of a lot of chapters there is a completely blank page. Every other book ends a chapter at the top of the page, if necessary, and then the reader turns over to find the start of the next chapter overleaf. Not with this book. The chapter ends at the top of the page and overleaf is a blank page then the next chapter starts on the facing page, two or three times. That's an awful lot of white space. I thought that it was for taking notes or doing a written exercise but it isn't, it's just wasted space. Then, to add insult to injury the preview of the next book starts on page 46. Then there is a list of the author's other books on page 54 and another blank page to end. Of course I've seen the start of the next book (sometimes the whole first chapter) at the end of the book I've just read, but not in a book that's listed as having 60 pages but actually has 54 and most of them are blank. It was a cheap book and it shows.

Nothing special
All a bit motherhood and apple pie really. Had heard a lot about this, but found it a bit disappointing.

Very happy that I found this helpful book
With the hectic lifestyle I lead I have increasingly come to find that I struggle with stress management, relaxation and focus. Over the past few months it has really started to weigh down on me and I began to have undesirable side effects from going too far down the negative path, so I decided to learn more about meditation and mindfulness as a way to shut out all of the outside noise for a minute and calm down. I was having limited results with other resources easily found on google and youtube, but I thought I might need something a bit better. I stumbled upon this book and realized that what I needed was a guide to take me back to the very basics and tell me step by step the little things that I should do in order to reap the best results. After following some of the tips in this book, I feel a lot better. I don't have all the time in the world to master this, but even just the few minutes a day that I'm able to eke out to take the advice in this book has made a world of difference in my mood, coping mechanisms and my health. I'm very impressed and happy that I found this book.

A Helpful Guide for Beginners
This a good resource on the practice of mindfulness for newbies. It describes what mindfulness is and how to practice mindfulness in everyday life, including specific situations like, eating, talking with others, and stressful events. The writing is clear and there’s plenty of good guidance. I would say though that some of the ideas are just good, general practices and are not specific to mindfulness. Even so, this is a helpful guide for beginners.

Reminded me of the beauty of life
Sometimes we get so caught up with our busy lives that we forget to take notice of the small things. It is nice to read books like this one to remind us the beauty of life. Making mindfulness a part of life is a challenge. But Author Michael Williams made it seem easier. His detailed explanations are evident in each page of the book. I got to understand so much about myself, the surroundings, and life. It has taught me to appreciate the present and take notice of each detail and savor it. For anyone who wants to have mindfulness in life but do not know where to start, here’s a book for you. The book will teach you how to appreciate and enjoy life more. For those who want to get the best out of life, buy, read, and apply this book.
