These LED pen flashlights are very useful and surprisingly bright for their size. I used these as stocking stuffers and every single person who got them (all adults over 40) was delighted. It's a small, lightweight, clear little light that fits in a pocket or purse easily. The carbon gray color this pack came in was really nice, too. Several people said they preferred it to black, which surprised me. They do come with batteries; you just need to remove the red plastic dot on the inside that prevents the battery from making contact. We haven't had them long enough to speak to their durability or battery life, but my spouse has been using theirs daily even over other lights. They actually asked if we could get a few more to tuck into pencil holders and cabinets around the house. This flashlight pack is a great deal and very useful.

This is a real bargain, they even come with the batteries. I have them all over the house. On the bedroom night stands, the computer desk, the kitchen counter, even put one by the TV, incase I have to plug something in. I"ve have them two months, and the batteries are still good. The light is brighter than you would think. I reccommend them as a cheap convience.

I purchased this for use in my vehicle. The light is small and easy to store in a glove box. The aluminum body feels solid. These flashlights work great! I was surprised at how bright they are. If you're looking for an inexpensive small flashlight, you can get 4 for the price of 1 including the AAA batteries. I couldn't be more impressed. Before you use it, you need to open the battery compartment and remove a small insulator disc. There are no directions provided on how to do this, but it is easy to figure out.

I have macular degeneration and extra light is the greatest help when I try to read. These lights are bright, the light is focused and they are so easy to carry with me. I have them all over the house, in the car, in my purse....They are just really one of the handiest tools I have to help see. I have bought other brands but this one just focuses right in on the words vs. flooding the whole page with light and that seems to work best.

Something I don't understand is how a flashlight with two AAA batteries in series can be less bright than one that uses only a single AAA battery. I don't know why anyone would bother putting two in series if it results in lower performance. So, to sum it up: It is NOT good for: Home security use or lighting up the backyard Walking the dog Lighting up a tree or checking what's overhead It IS good for: Checking things inside a backpack Looking under the bed Checking a car, motorcycle, or bicycle Inspecting an electrical panel Anything you need to do within a distance of up to 2 meters (after that, the light diffuses too much and becomes useless) At first glance, this flashlight is very attractive, featuring a nice design and great color options. Combined with an extremely low price for a 4-pack, the value proposition initially seems promising. However, that is pretty much where the pros end. Unfortunately, it comes with several significant drawbacks. First, when you insert the batteries, there is too much internal play, causing them to rattle and make noise whenever the flashlight moves—an issue completely absent in other flashlights of the same style. Second, the pocket clip is far too short and lacks adequate retention, making it a high risk to slip out of your pocket at any moment. Third, the tail switch is very loud; the mechanical click is bulky and far from stealthy. Performance-wise, the LED emitter is very dim compared to other flashlights with similar specs, likely due to a very low-quality emitter. Even though it runs on two AAA batteries in series, it fails to deliver enough power to produce a decent beam compared to its peers. Additionally, it strictly requires 1.5V batteries and will not function properly with standard 1.2V rechargeable batteries commonly used in remote controls. Despite being very cheap and having great aesthetics, I do not recommend buying this product because there are other options on the market with the exact same design that perform significantly better.

Great set of flashlights! I bought a pack so I can put a flashlight in all my major traffic areas. They're low profile, bright and came with batteries! The light themselves is a diffused circle with no clear focus ring. They're so bright that I don't mind they don't act like spotlights. I keep one in my nightstand because its easy to grab and turn on right away instead of fiddling with a cellphone in the dark. This is helpful with mischievous kittens. Plus I'm not afraid to drop a flashlight while fumbling. They're so conveniently sized they pretty much fit anywhere. The clips are convenient even if its so they don't roll away when you set them down. I even use them for inspecting PC parts for my job in IT.

Ordered another set of 4 torches as the first batch proved to be very useful around the home. They perform really well, have good brightness and seem to be well built. Great as pocket torches or for leaving in car or workshop for when a bright directed beam of light is required. I haven't experienced any of the issues other reviwers noted re rattling of the batteries in the unit - they seem very secure to me. Shaking the torch does not induce any flicker in my units.

Very bright, nice and slim to fit in a pocket, has held up nicely despite being left loose in the depths of a backpack.

Decent penlights, battery doesn't last quite as long as you'd think, but what do you expect getting 4 lights for this price? All in all, good purchase. Makes a good stocking stuffer.
