Shimano 105 RD-5701 GS Max 32T Double C/Set Rear Derailleur

Perfect replacement to a derailleur that had been bent in an off and easily fitted and adjusted. Being longer than the original I was also able to change the rear cassette to allow more range in lower gears.

Excellent Shimano quality, delivered quickly. I have a slightly older Giant gravel bike, with older Tiagra 10 speed shifters - this is the only remaining derailleur that cater for this, as the Tiagra 4700 series isn’t compatible. This is happily working for me on a 11-34 cassette, despite being listed as a 32 maximum tooth count.

Bought this to replace my 105 short cage derailleur, as I wanted to increase my cassette from an 11-28 to 11-32. Was very happy with my old 105, so when it came to making a change I was keen to keep the same model. Simple install and all working perfectly, the gear changes are smooth and quiet, plus I now have a lower gear to tackle hills on my old legs.

I replaced a MICROSHIFT NEW Derailleur with this and the difference is clear to see. Very clean gear changes. Also this came a day early too. Great service great product

Shimano 105 RD GS for up to 32T. Great Shimano design and quality. Easy to fit.

Replacement for older one & also needed longer cage for a 32 rear sprocket, not had chance to use it yet but no doubt it will be as good as all my previous parts from Shimano.

Los puristas dirán que este cambio pesa unos gramos más que su hermano mayor, el Ultegra, pero es una buena opción si tienes que cambiar el cassette de tu bicicleta. Yo tenía un 12-28 (10 velocidades) y como vivo en una zona montañosa y uno va cumpliendo años, quería poner un 11-32 (10 velocidades también), ya que me faltaba un poco más de desarrollo en subidas y en bajadas. Para ello necesitaba poner un cambio con una patilla un poco más larga por que si no, roza la roldana superior del cambio con el piñón más grande. Sólo admite hasta un piñón 32, si quieres un 34 deberás buscar el cambio de patilla larga. Por tanto necesitas cambiar el cassette, el cambio trasero y la cadena (o poner algún eslabón más si está en buen estado). Debes saber ajustar el cambio desde cero para que quede fino, aconsejo mirar videos en internet si no sabes. Yo lo puse todo, cassette, cambio y cadena, y después de 5 ó 6 salidas sigue funcionando a la perfección. Shimano 105 es un buen grupo a un precio contenido, al anterior le hice muchísimos kilómetros y cero problemas. Lo recomiendo. Lo único malo es que la caja me vino rota por un par de sitios, supongo que por una mala manipulación del transportista o quizá por un embalaje deficiente.
