These are what they are. Maybe I didn’t read the description very well, but these are rubber mallets. New to percussion here, so my son(in band) says that rubber mallets are pretty quiet 🤫. These great for practice within the house but not ideal for performances .

Good quality, especially considering the price! I bought them to replace missing mallets for my middle school’s Orff instrument xylophones and metalophones. The sound quality was acceptable on both instruments, and the mallets durable enough to hold up to the heavy use of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students so far. I would buy these again. The heads are too large for a glockenspiel, but perfect for soprano, alto and tenor Orff instruments.
