I swam in a public pool. Twice. The first time , I noticed some brassiness in my hair. The second time , it was yellow. I tried a swimmer’s shampoo. Twice. Malibu C crystals. Five times. Used Matrix So Silver( purple shampoo) many times. For a month, it seemed like I lived in my shower. I thought I was stuck letting it grow out. The yellow made me self conscious. As a last ditch effort, I tried this product. I was so psyched to use it. The directions suggest wearing gloves to prevent staining. I haven’t kept gloves since COVID. I took a chance- no stains. This product is like purple on steroids. It’s close to black. The suggested time range to leave it on was 5-15 minutes. I went with 5 minutes to make sure it didn’t do anything funky to my hair. A little goes a long way. I left it in while I shaved and showered. 5 minutes. ( did I mention the month I practically lived in the shower? My timing is now fast) No results at all! My hair was still wet, so I put some more in, put on a shower cap, waited 15 minutes. I was very pleased! The stain is barely there now! My hair feels so SOFT, and I love the way the non- stained areas look. I will continue to use this while my hair returns to normal. BTW, I found out that this staining can be caused by dissolved metals in the pool water, like copper, which causes a green tint for some people. People with white or blonde hair are more vulnerable. If I return to that pool, I will definitely wear a swim cap and wash my hair immediately. And then use this product!!

I used the Platinum Pearl. I have 80% natural white gray hair. The color gave me a very light lavender hue. I shower every day and I use the color every other day on wet hair while showering. People,young and old complement on the color. I dont see the color, I just see a brighter tone. Outside, in office buildings, many positive remarks. Also, only need a little on wet hair, so my tube lasted many more applications. On my second tube

I can’t say enough about this product! I rarely leave a review but I just had to with this. I’m 62 and have always had my hair professionally colored a dark brown, with blonde. I’m retiring and just wanting to cut back and decided to go gray which is what my roots are. So professionally I have spent a lot of money trying to get there which is a nightmare. My hair has been stuck in this yellowy color that I hate and so I’ve been trying purple shampoos, conditioners and masks which never seem to do what I hope they would do. And so, back to searching on Amazon and I find this product and went ahead and bought it…and oh my goodness!!! Yes!!! My hair is a beautiful light gray after one use! Plus I thought the whole tube would be needed but no, I’ll get at least 3-4 uses with one tube! Honestly, the color is amazing and it’s just like using a conditioner. I washed my hair with one of my purple shampoos that doesn’t take the yellow out…squeezed out the water from my hair, put this one step gloss toner on and used my shower brush to brush it though my hair to get it well distributed, I left it on for 15 minutes, rinsed and WOW! I couldn’t be happier that I found something that actually works!!!

The word “Gloss” in the title really caught my eye because I have never had shiny hair. My hopeful expectation of shiny, silky white hair, devoid of yellow wasn’t quite met. This product darkened my ”whitest” white hair to a steel color and made the yellowed white hair a shade of beige. I still have a bit of brown mixed in with the white, but overall I came away with a dark, dull steel gray look. Yes, the yellow tones were reduced, but I had hoped the yellowing would be corrected to a whiter shade and that my hair overall would be glossy (shiny) and healthy looking. The result I got from using this product was similar to having used the purple shampoo that promises to correct yellow tones. FWIW, I used the entire tube (I have long hair) and left it in for the full 15 minutes. Other people may have better results than I had. It’s easy to use, but I would probably not purchase again.

This is advertised to remove the yellow or brassiness of grey hair. It didn’t do that for me. I followed the directions to a T and really saw no significant change in the color. It did make my hair feel softer and fuller though.

I have always loved this product. But the last couple of times I have used it, it has made my gray hair look darker instead of brighter. Not sure if I got a bad batch or what but certainly not pleased with my results this morning!

I needed something to removed the brassiness from my long silver white hair. After researching the various brands, I decided upon this product. It came in quickly and was well packed. I used it during my next hair washing, and after reading comments, i wore latex gloves to protect my hands . I have thick hair that almost reaches my waist, and I struggled to get the contents of the bottle to cover all my hair. I was finally able to get it to cover my hair enough and into my unaffected hair. In the future though, i will get 2 boxes of it. I left it on my hair for the entire 15 minutes, having applied it while wearing the latex gloves. Once it had been on 15 minutes, i rinsed it out thoroughly and then used a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Once done, I dried it with a blow drier and it turned out even better than expected. Just with that one application, It has already removed or covered up almost 95% of the brassiness. It did not make my white hair seem to be “blue” either, it just removed the brassiness. i am very happy to say that my hair hasn’t looked this shiny, healthy and thick in a long time. And it looks very natural, with the brassiness gone. My white/silver hair is a natural color, taking after my dad whose hair turned silver/white by the time he was 30 , and I didn’t want anything to make it look fake. It did great on my hair, and I am getting two boxes for next time I wash it to get the other 5% that i didnt cover well. Great purchase, will definitely recommend it and use it again.

I was hoping this gloss would help get the yellow out. Also help with my frizz. I think it has helped with the yellow. I recently had half cut off & that removed a lot of what yellowed. I have grey & white. A bit of brown still in the back. There may be silver in there too. I probably used a third of the tube.
