Fantastic descaler, bought for ProBoil3 water tank, amazing on kettle too.
This was purchased specifically to descale a ProBoil 3-in-1 hot water tap water tank, which automatically shuts down when needing to be descaled. Itโs out of warranty now ,and the manufacturers own descaler was out of stock for quite some time. To preserve the ProBoil warranty, they say to use their descaler, and one 200ml bottle of their premixed solution costs more than the cost of this concentrated Urnex Dezcal liquid. The manufacturers solution is made using the Urnex Dezcal liquid, so I was delighted to find the concentrate on Amazon. We have very hard water and have previously used 2 bottles of the manufacturers solution for one descale. The Dezcal needs to be diluted with water, one part Dezcal to 10 parts water, and you need to wear protective gloves and goggles whilst handling it, and to ventilate the room. The Urnex website provides all the details on how to use it and what it can be used on. I will certainly stick to using this for all my future descaling of my ProBoil 3, and kettle. I think it should also be ok to clean my coffee machine too, although Urnex do have a range of products to also clean coffee machines and milk frothers. Our ProBoil manual suggests the unit needs to be on and water temperature at 80 degrees when adding the descaler. Ours just switches off so the water in the boiler tank cools down, and it will not turn back on until descaled. The unit stopped working a couple of months ago so we reverted to using a kettle, which also showed signs of limescale build up. With the boiler switched off, I drained off some of the now cold water from the bottom tap using the drain hose, then re closed the tap. I made up a 400ml water/ 40ml Dezcal solution, disconnected the cooled vent hose and slowly poured most of the mixture into the boiler tank. The Dezcal solution must not be left in the unit or kettle for more than 30 minutes. I was concerned that the water in the tank was cold so maybe this would not work. Around 30 minutes reconnect the vent hose, then drain the unit into a bowl by opening the bottom tap connected to the drain hose. Reclose the bottom tap once unit is drained, switch boiler back on and allow to refill and reheat to 80 degrees. When switched back on, the boiler came back to life. At this point, drain the water from the tank using the hot key, so the water drains out via the kitchen tap. Switch the boiler back off, and again drain remaining water from the unitโs bottom tap through the drain hose into a bowl. Close the drain tap, and store the hose away. Switch boiler back on and allow it to refill and reheat, then drain the boiler again using the hot key so that the water flows out of the kitchen tap. It is suggested the unit is drained twice, but I did it 3 times. The boiler is now happily working again, and I have plenty of the Dezcal concentrate for future descaling. I used up the remaining made-up solution by pouring it into an empty kettle and leaving it for 30 minutes. They do say to ventilate the room when descaling, as some odour may be given off. You could see the limescale immediately lift of the base of the kettle and start to dissolve, and the kettle looked completely clean inside after the descale. Empty the kettle, then fill and boil the kettle a couple of times to rinse out the descaler solution before reuse. This stuff is fantastic!

Great for Boiling Water Tap Boilers!
Really powerful scale remover with saved for Boiling Water Tap boiler from limescale and subsequent E8 error. Poured in with a funnel mixed as per instruction with warm water and i could hear it fizzing away in the tank. I repeated 3 times emptying out about 1 kg of scale each time. Recommend this for boilers or other household items.

Works but measuring cup/lid was broken
Purchased to descale my coffee machine and boiling water tap tank. Worked as described. Took a star off as the measuring cup which was on top of the lid came broken, unlikely to have been dispatched like that so must have happened in transit

Great Bibo descaler
This was used to descale my Bibo water dispenser as it is the same product as that supplied by the manufacturer in the Bibo kit, albeit without the handy dispenser bottle. I have to descale my Bibo regularly, and with enough liquid in the bottle for five cleans this makes maintenance of the water dispenser much more cost effective.

Easy to use for descaling Nespresso machines
Used it to descale my Nespresso Krups machine, the instructions were easy to follow and my coffee tastes much better since then. This bottle will also last a long time so it is great value for price.

Descaler for Coffee Machine
I ordered it after I see "descale" alert on my new Sage Espresso machine. Even tough I always use the filtered water, I didn't want to risk it. I mixed ~1/10 with tap water and started descaling. Machine finished descaling process and then I repeat the process couple of times just with water to avoid any residue. Machine is clean, taste of coffee is not affected, so I'm fine and relaxed. Recommended if you need one.

Multi purpose descaler
Fantastic product. Used to descale my sage pro coffee machine, kettle and even a steam iron. I was surprised at how well it worked. It suggests a contact time of 30 minutes however seemed to still do its job when used with the descale function in the coffee machine. Rinsing is a must I ran the descale cycle twice using just water for the assurance that all remnants of the chemical had been removed.

Worked a treat
Ive got a sage barista and although water in my area isn't hard doing a resale makes the machine more efficient. Have used sage products but the price is irritating when you can get this big bottle for a fraction of the price. Anyway it worked a treat, no after taste and I'm happy with that

Works great for descaling coffee brewers
This product worked well descaling my coffee brewers. One is a KitchenAid coffee machine (Architect 14 cup brewer), a second one is a Hamilton Beach (small 4 cup coffee brewer) and a third is a Breville (a single serve brewer). The descaling was thorough in each of these machines. There were no harsh odours or fumes to endure while descaling my machines (bonus!), and, no lingering aftertaste/odour after rinsing/flushing (another bonus!). And, a third bonus ... this is much cheaper to use instead of vinegar, or, some other descalers on the market. I will definitely buy this product again. Despite being very happy with this product, I gave it 4 stars, rather than 5 stars, for a legitimate reason (in my opinion). The instructions for mixing, using and storing this product are inadequate. Some people may not find the information and instructions on the bottle easily deciphered and/or understood. For anyone having an issue with the instructions for mixing ratio... To make a solution of 100 millilitres: Add 10 millilitres of Dezcal to 90 millilitres of water. This is an acid, please store in a safe place away from children and pets. Some of the reasons I found this product so nice to use is because it is not malodorous and doesn't burn immediately upon contact with your skin (nice for those times when you accidentally splash or spill, remember to rinse thoroughly). So, please store in its original container in order to keep it properly stored/labelled.
