This is a solid functional unit. Very robust and very clean when installed.I fitted this to replace an old Domino unit that was just old (at least 23 years) that failed. It had worked well but just looked old fashioned.The new unit rather than work of batteries needs a 12 VDC supply but is very low current so a piggy backed of an existing security camera power supply.For me the garage door control only needs a momentary contact and the unit provides a normally open and normally closed contacts for magnetic looks etc. It does provide a bell function and a Wigeand Output which is a more secure option but I did not use these. Also up to 2000 users and RFI key function. I have one user so only one number.The electronics are solidly cast so I believe will be water proof.My one criticism is that the multi coloured wire is only 100 mm long. This means that you cannot put the wire through a double brick wall into a JB. Single Brick may be OK. Luckily the unit I was replacing was fitted to the 75mm wooden door frame but I bought a very shallow jb that would fit sideways inside the door frame and clear of the door. You do only need 4 wires for what I was doing (+12VDC, 0VDC, Com and NO) but I like to bring everything to a terminal strip. The wire is very think so you should put ferrules on the end.In theory with the installation I have, someone could break the unit of the wall or unscrew the tamper resistant screw that holds the keypad to the cast box, and then connect the right wires together and open the door!Firstly you would have to have the right screw driver or you would need a crowbar to remove the whole box. In my case, with the short wires mentioned, any sort of removal of the key pad would probably put the wires out of the terminal block inside.Also the mentioned camera looks directly at the key pad area so I feel this is secure.However, for a more secure requirement, using a separate Wigeand controller would work well.It would be nice to be able to program the keypad to only light up when the first key is pushed as it does stand out in the dark.Overall a very nice unit and cheaper than replacing just the Domino Key Pad

No negatives, only positives... Setup and installed on outside gate with ease and programmed the key fobes no problem.I even managed to programme a credit card access keycard I use on my front door. So happy just to use one card for gate and door now.... HIGHLY RECOMMEND..!!!

Bad side is: Instructions are so small, that even with a magnifying glass its difficult.I could not program it for a few hours, even by following the instructions and videos.Thanks to my wife she did it in the end.The good side is: it is sealed in side to stop damage from water.It seems to be very solid metel.Once you get past the few problems, it is good, and works well, and I like the blue back light.My other one was a different make and stopped working after a few months, but thanks to the amazing service of Amazon, they gave me a full refund.So I hope this last's at least a year or two. I will be back to let you know if it stops working.If you don't hear from me, then you know its still working. 25/March 2023.

Be careful when purchasing the unit. I purchased this because it was identical to the gate keypad I needed to replace, or so I thought. It looked and appeared identical it was only after fitting and connecting it up that it would not power up to the 24v supply. I then discovered the new keypad was designed soley for a12V supply hence why it would not power up on the 24V gate supply, the original was made for a 12-24V supply. 24v is needed to operate an electric gate, 12v is fine if the unit is used as keypad to operate an entry exit door. I cannot understand why the company that makes this in China would have changed the voltage from 12-24 to just 12v only supply. So check the back plate before fitting that is made for a 12-24V before it is to late to return, if using it on an electric gate.

I like these. Seem to be well made and sealed (potted). Work with the fobs I already had and easy enough for those who need to use it and set it up - and that is quite something!!

Also vorweg muss ich sagen, dass ich wirklich sehr positiv überrascht bin, was die Wertigkeit des Codeschlosses angeht - Gehäuse komplett aus Metall, sogar die Trägerplatte und die Fronteinheit solide vergossen. Die beiliegende Anleitung ist in Englisch - es gibt sie aber auch auf deutsch, da es das Codeschloss baugleich auch bei i-Keys (RFID S602) gibt ;-)Zwei Dinge sind bei dem Gerät ganz entscheidend, die sollte man wissen und die sollten auch unbedingt beachtet werden:1. Verwendung einer Klingel -> Soll eine Klingel zum Einsatz kommen, dass ist zu beachten, dass unbedingt eine elektronische Klingel verwendet wird, da das System für eine Klingel bis max 100mA ausgelegt ist. Ein klassischer Gong würde das System zerstören! Ansonsten muss eine herkömmliche Klingel mittels Relais potentialfrei geschaltet werden.2. Türöffner -> Dem Codeschloss liegt eine Trenndiode bei, die bei Einsatz eines Türöffners unbedingt zwischengesetz werden sollte; auch hier kann je nach Art des Türöffners das System sonst einen Schaden davon tragen. Die Diode wird einfach parallel zwischen die Türöffner-Leitung gesetzt (also zwischen + und - ); der Einfachheit halber habe ich das direkt am Türöffner an dessen Schraubverbindungen gemacht - Bitte die Polarität der Diode beachten!Die Zeit in der Türöffner anzieht kann von 1-99 Sekunden eingestellt werden, wobei die Grundeinstellung 5 Sekunden beträgt und in der Regel ausreichend ist. Da der Türöffner systemseitig mit 12V angesteuert wird, macht er kein typisches Türöffnergeräusch, sondern der Türöffner "klackt" nur einmal kurz aber durchaus hörbar. Es sollte eine Türöffner eingesetz werden, der auch mit Gleichstrom arbeiten kann; viele Türöffner können jedoch sowohl mit Gleichstrom, also auch mit Wechselstrom betrieben werden.Das RFID-/Codeschloss kann wahlweise NUR mittels RFID-Sensor bedient werden, NUR mit PIN-Code, oder aber RFID-Sensor & Code - Jeweils 2000 RFID bzw. PIN-Code Möglichkeiten gibt es.Es kann eine Kontrollschaltung, z.B. mittels Magnetschalter eingesetzt werden, die den Zustand der Tür erkennt und somit bei einem Sabotageversuch und Öffnung der Tür ohne Berechtigung, Alarm ausgibt - Hierzu gibt es dann ebenfalls die Möglichkeit einen Piezzo-Alarm-Geber in das System zu integrieren. Dieser kann auch als Sabotage-Alarm angesteuert werden, wenn jemand versucht das Gehäuse zu öffnen oder zu manipulieren.Ebenfalls kann auch eine zuätzliche Türöffner-Taste angeschlossen werden.Für mich bei diesem Umfang an Möglichkeiten ein top Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und daher klare 5 Sterne.
