Q: Can you use it with the new type of gas (1234yf)?

This product can only be used the R134a type gas.

Q: Will this work on a home ac split unit system? suspect leaking pipes inside brick wall, so i'm avoiding breaking through brick

I was a fridge engineer for forty something year's.......this is a tricky one.....your pipe size will be bigger, and it might well depend on if your leak is on the high side or low side.....have you checked for any signs of oil anywhere? first........tried soap and water on all joints.......is your system on 134 a.....most probably is.....the only real way to have a good chance of finding your leak would be with a electronic leak detector........and finally this gas has rocketed up in price........god knows how many of these you would need.....is there a sight glass? if you can see lots of bubbles your going to need a lot of these.....guess you have nothing to lose and try it first.....but I think your going to have to get someone in with the right equipment .hope this helped
